Just before the fight began, Aria caught a conversation between two girls.
Girl 1: "Hey, look at that. She's wearing pants."
Girl 2: "Well, I don't think that is going to make much of a difference."
Girl 1: "Yeah. Because like, wearing pants does not mean you are stronger."
Girl 2: "Obviously. Look at how frail she is, and with that face, I wonder if she has ever undergone any training."
Aria almost slapped her forehead hearing this. She shook her head and focused on Professor Thomas.
Professor Thomas smiled and said, "Come."
Aria twirled her fingers, and her hands all around. Water came out from the kitchen windows and doors, splashing all the workers around. The water stopped in level with Aria and made itself into blades, which then went straight for Professor Thomas.
Professor Thomas easily dodged some, deflected some, and blocked the others.
After five minutes of Aria on the offensive and Professor on the defensive, Professor Thomas began to attack.
He used an easy attack first, just like Aria, water blades came upon her.
Aria's hand-to-hand combat skills had detoriated, but there were too many blades to block. So she did the best she could, but one of the blades slashed right through Aria's left arm and left a cut there, blood dripping on her arm.
Aria paid no attention to it as Professor was beginning his second wave of attack.
This time, Aria was able to dodge the blades, but what she did not notice was a water fist coming towards her behind the blades.
The fist got her as she was hit in the abdomen. Aria doubled up in pain and crouched. Professor Thomas's voice rang through her ears, "I know that's not all you have got. Come on. Get up."
Aria got up, coughing and wiping sweat off her forehead. She waved her hands and another wave of blades attacked the Professor. But this time the professor was putting in more effort. Both he and Aria had to dodge the other's attacks while they kept attacking.
After the wave subsided, Professor Thomas was seen standing unscathed, smiling. While Aria panting and bleeding from several places on her arms and legs.
Professor Thomas straightened up. He said, "Seems like I really overestimated you."
Aria smiled as Professor Thomas's eyes widened. He looked in the direction of the forest, and very soon all the students saw why.
A huge wave was coming from that direction, wetting all the tress and even felling some.
Professor Thomas took up his stance again, saying, "So you distracted me while you did this. Good. But I daresay this wave will have little effect on me." As he finished his sentence, he was engulfed.
The students saw Aria twirling her fingers and hands really fast as the whole water formed a ball around Professor Thomas.
Aria had no intention of stopping, but suddenly the water flew towards her, and she only managed to stop it in time before the students saw that there were many small blades hidden inside the big wave.
As Aria regained control of the water, Professor Thomas stood up. He said, "Very good. That was a nice tactic. But remember, it's easier to lose control when you are bending an element at this scale. And your opponent may take advantage of it."
The students saw that Professor Thomas had many small cuts across his arms, legs and even one on his face. They stared dumbfounded at Aria. Just who was this girl?
