Chapter 7 - Early Years. pt. 2

walking down the street, Adrien eyes wander around, taking in all the hustle and bustle around. it's not usually this active around town, but with they the town is set up, it occasionally is.

the town, know as "Almura" is a very popular place for the )Adventurer's Guild( due to it having access to a magic forest, a mountain range, the ocean, and a plain on the demonic front, giving the locals access to exotic materials. as such, adventurers have moved there -such as his own family- and merchants occasionally come by.

so when he went to the town square, he was not surprised to see hastily built stands where they haggle with the locals for materials, for either trading or for cash.

as the reincarnater walked down the square, trying to find good place to sell his diamonds, he was surprised to see his mom there as, walking about in her gleaming full-plate armour.

"HEY MOM!" Adrien called out, waving in her direction.

she turned around before her eyes settled on him, before she stated walking towards him at a rapid pace.

"Adrien." she greeted coolly, this was Raven, Adriens mother, she had long, flowing white hair, and vibrant red eyes, she wore shining full-plate, and it glowed with a faint whiff of mana, hinting at its enchanted nature, on her left hip, hung a great-sword, and on her right. a pouceh that could barely hold whatever it held. "What are you doing here?" she questioned as she got closer to him

"Well, you see," he began "you and dad told me that if I wanted stuff, I'd have to work for it, so I thought of selling some stuff I made and make my own money" he explained as they continued to walk around

*SIGH* "Honestly Adrien, why are so greedy?" she asked in dismay "I'm pretty sure we raised you right, and that you'd not want for anything."

"Well I want more."

*HMPH* "Well... at least you're workin for it." she began "So you're to sell eh? Come with me, son. I know a guy who'd buy just about anything at good prices." she gestured to follow as she walked off towards a particular area

after a few minutes of walking he suddenly asked a question some of us may have been wondering

"Mom." he called out, and when she replied with a lazy 'yeah?' he asked "Why are -you= here, I thought you were on a mission?"

"Already finished it." was her immediate reply. that's an elite for you right there.

they finally stopped in front of a large wagon, containing various crates and barrels, as well as couple of miscellaneous items like jewelry and weapons. the smell of alcohol immediately assaulted his senses as an immaculately dressed portly man came out, sporting the most immaculate mustache he'd ever seen, it almost seemed like a pair of horns at first

"RAVEN!" he greeted his mother cheerfully "It's good to see you again. How's it been lass?"

"It's been good Dave." so Dave was his name "I'd like you to meet my son here, Adrien."

she gestured as Adrien casually greeted with a 'Sup.'

"So this is the boy I've been hearin about lately." he began "You'd almost think he was a monster from the rumours."

"Yeah. He's a monster alright." she jokingly said as she ruffled the boy's hair

"So." she began "I'll have my usual."

"Way ahead of you." Dave said as he dropped a barrel of what Adrien suspected to be liquor onto Ravens arms

"And what about your son? Does he want anything?" he asked as the white haired adventurer handed him a handful of gold coins

"I would like to sell something." he stated his intent to the merchant

"Oh? really now? Well show what you've got." Dave said in intrigued curiosity. wandering what the famous )Super-Boy( would sell him

Adrien then simply unlatched his pouch before showing its contents

"...! This is-"

"...? What is it?" Raven asked, confused at the commotion

"These are raw, unpolished DIAMONDS!" he exclaimed as he held the pile of the precious rock in his palms, shocking Raven with his declaration

and so, Adrien learned alchemy, used it to make coal into diamonds, sold it, and now he had a LOT of gold and silver coins, which he used to buy various materials from the other merchants

overall, a very productive day
