Chapter 1

(Alïa's pov)

Flashback 13 years ago~

It was a mild spring day, the sort when we kids were so happy to run outside without jackets. I ran to the park because it had swings. With my almost five year old legs I pumped higher and higher. My hair flopped backwards as my face felt the warm sunlight and forwards as I faced the ground on the backwards swing. I can't recall how I fell, just the dull thump of hitting the dirt. I lay there unable to breathe, all the wind knocked right out of both lungs. I heaved but no air passed in. Suddenly, I feel a young boy probably a year and half older than me, looking at me with concerned eyes, his facial features were babyish, big eyes, soft skin and a button nose.

"Hey,are you okay?" He said. Behind him I see two figures as if they were trying to protect him, but I was too young to know why exactly.

"I-I can't bre-". I chocked on my words. He sat me up with the help of the men's.

It was hard to breathe, tears fell like hurricane rain. "Than-nk you". I said blushing.

I was a very shy child, I used to hide behind my mother, using her as a shield between me and the stranger. When he embraced me in his arms that made me blush so hard.

Little did I know he is gonna be my faith.
