"Group B will be Raina, Arlo, and Nick"
I was absolutely devastated when I heard that I was going to be in the same group as my crush and the most popular kid in my school. Don't get me wrong, Nick seemed like he was pretty ok at school but some of the things he's done out of school is questionable.
For instance, I heard he got into a huge fight with one of his friends. It ended with his friend having a broken arm and a bunch of bruises on his face, while Nick left the fight with nothing more than a small scar above the side of his eyebrow.
I don't know what it was about that scar but it just gave him ten times more attention in school and made him look a lot more attractive. Don't get this twisted though, I don't like him. He's way out of my league anyway.
Here's a little brief explanation of who I am
-I have long black hair, brown eyes, and slightly tanned skin. I don't have that many curves and I'm considered pretty skinny by normal standards
-I do figure skating, play piano, paint. I also love to read classics. Something about their reliability and eloquent writing really interests me. Not to mention the sweet and subtle romance that is often contained in the pages of many great classic novels.
- I'm also kind of a nerd. I'm pretty smart or rather better at academics than the average person. I'm in all honors and AP classes and I always get all A's so schools not really a problem for me.
-I've liked Arlo since eighth grade, so I've liked him for about three years counting this year. I assumed that once I was a sophomore and had gotten to know him better, I would have a better chance at him saying that he like me but I guess I'll have to wait until next year
Screw Arlo! I mean I like him but the predicament he's put me in is infuriating. I just wanted a simple yes or a no and he has to go and say that he doesn't know. How does he not know? The sad thing is that even after all of this I still freaking still like him. There must be something wrong with my brain.
Anyways, back to after we were assigned our group members, we were told to quickly exchange numbers so that we could meet up with each other and work on the project at someone's house. I already had Arlo's so I went up to Nick's desk.
"Hey Raina, can I have your number"
