Emma cleared her throat and tried not to sound like an idiot.
Immediately she picked the call, and pressed it to her ear, she had to pull it away in a flash, because a loud ear piercing laughter was heard.
Putting the phone on loudspeaker, Emma waited for her to laugh to her satisfaction.
"So, hello." Emma said in a calm tone.
Even though she's not the type that took things too personally, she felt disgusted at Alicia.
Olivia was indeed rude, but this girl was worse. To top it all, she was the one who usually starts the fight.
Olivia was too proud to start a fight. She's the type that would remain quiet, as long as you don't try to talk to her, but this girl was the total opposite.
She was like a bug that refused to die, no matter how many times you hit it with a slipper or step on it.
She never won against Olivia, yet she didn't give up. She hated her and made it obvious that she does.
Those sort of act would made people doubt that they are involved in Olivia attempt assassination, because most people would acted good on the surface, and did the deed underneath.
Showing that they didn't like her, would make people believe that it's just normal dislike, which was very possible, since Olivia wasn't likeable.
The only people that see Olivia as their world were her parents. They knew they were at fault for most of her behaviors.
Emma felt more pissed because it was Alicia's father that was trying to kill Olivia. Olivia had no evidence, based on the memories Emma saw, but the girl strongly believed that it was Harry that was after her life.
It was the main reason why she locked herself in her room, after each encounter. Somehow, Emma felt hatred towards Harry.
Olivia's parents had no idea that their daughter already knew it was him, and believed what she told them, about knowing that it was one of their competitors that wanted to get back at them.
The feeling was so strong that Emma felt it like it was her own.
"Oh dear! You're getting more popular each day." Alicia finally spoke up.
"Care to elaborate?" Emma asked, just like she felt was appropriate.
She wasn't trying to be rude or nice.
"Dear cousin. You're telling me you didn't see your ugly face pasted on the news as usual?
I felt like you're paying people to attack you, to get your face across to the world. Huff…. Pathetic idiot.
I just hope that if the attacks were real, they should succeed and stop disturbing the world peace with same news, claiming 'attempted murder'
They should murder you for real, FOR GOD SAKE!" Alicia spat.
Emma felt so enraged. Even if Olivia hadn't told her to talk back at this girl, she would still retort to this sort of insult.
To top it all, her families weren't with her and she doesn't have to be scared of offending someone and bringing them trouble.
She could speak her mind.
"I will take the ugly comment as a compliment and make sure to provide this call, which I've recorded, to the police. Perhaps they can start their investigation from your side." Emma replied.
She thought she had given her a face slap, but only got another round of laughter in return.
"Seems you're more scared than the last time. You sound pretty nice today, cousin.
Since you're going to be making use of my words, I guess I should make it more interesting.
I WANT OLIVIA SMITH TO DIE!
There you go. Now you have something stronger." Alicia replied.
Emma was at loss for words.
What sort of gene do those girls have?
Emma ended the call, but Alicia called again.
The main reason why she couldn't retort to what Alicia said, was because memories popped up again.
Olivia seems to use words like 'die, kill' and other horrific words the most. Alicia was like a student to Olivia.
"She's so annoying. What does she want?" Emma asked helplessly, but Honey didn't reply.
The system stuck to her words. She really isn't interfering on the quest, itself. It's up to Emma to control this situation.
An enraged expression marred her face. She let out a deep sigh and sat on the bed and couldn't help but relax her frown as the texture of the bed felt so nice.
The phone kept ringing nonstop.
"What's your problem?" Emma asked, immediately she picked the call.
To her awe, Alicia sounds so serious. "Stay away from Max."
Emma blinked in confusion.
Was she talking about the same Max, that she was here to make sure that he fell for her?
What a joke.
"And your point is?" Emma asked.
"You seem sane today, cousin. I guess we could talk about this without much hassle. Max would be mine, so stay away from him." Alicia replied.
"Are you done? Because I think you are more insane today." Emma said.
Alicia wasn't even affected, because she had heard worse, but Emma opened her mouth wide.
She couldn't believe she just said such a thing, so bluntly.
She lost it for a second there, because Alicia just proved to her that she's a threat to her mission.
"I guess so. I would prove insanity to you, if I see you lurk around him. I'm sure princess Olivia wouldn't want to drag a man with her cousin.
I met him first, so he's mine." Alicia said and ended the call.
If it was Olivia that got this message, she would give up on Max, even if she likes him.
Alicia was trying to use Olivia's pride against her, but unfortunately, it was Emma who received the message.
The girl who will do anything to make sure this mission comes successful and see her family again.
She just made Emma realize that she had no time to waste. She needed to begin her attempts on Max.
It seems Alicia had no idea what the term 'desperation' was all about.
With that push, Emma planned to call Max today. She must get him first.
