Not making any mistake, Elijah didn't approach the intelligent ape's territory and rather moved straight towards the tiger's den inside which the wounded Grade 3 Mysterious Beast was at.
Seeing how there were no signs of any recent fighting around the terrain, Elijah guessed that the ape didn't chase after the Wind Winged Tiger due to being scared of a cornered enemy's retaliation.
But, Elijah had no choice but to do so since killing this beast was the only way to ensure he obtained a good passing grade.
And even though things didn't go according to Elijah's plan, he was now here with a completely healed body and inside the cave was a beaten up tiger. So all things considered, even though the way he reached this point wasn't according to how he planned he would, the final result was the same.
Thinking about this, Elijah felt lucky the top part of his pants weren't damaged. Due to this, the tied up wad of dried herbs inside his pocket was still there.
As for the lighter which he had lost when he was running for his life, Elijah no longer needed it.
Slowly getting down the tree he was on top of, Elijah stepped forward very slowly and softly so that no sound was created by his footsteps.
At the same time, he bore with the invisible oppressive pressure coming out of the cave which was just as scary as the previous day.
But, the pressure by itself had greatly decreased which made it obvious that the tiger was wounded. Also, Elijah might not know it yet, but since he had escaped from it with his life intact and made it through a life and death struggle, his own confidence and will had been strengthened due to which he wasn't as intimidated by the beastly presence as he was in the past.
Placing the bunch of dried herbs at the entrance of the cave which he possessed a single set of, Elijah caused flames to light up on the tip of his index finger which he used to lit up the dried herbs.
Bsssshhh…
Turning around and running away without the slightest consideration of his footsteps being heard since it no longer mattered, Elijah climbed up the closest tree's branch and waited for the tiger to come outside the cave.
As for why he was sure it would come out, it wasn't because he was confident in the smoke driving it out. No no no, what Elijah placed his confidence on was what caused the smoke.
Those dried herbs weren't some random herbs and were specifically tied together which upon burning released a smoke which contained poisonous properties to all beasts of the feline race.
And thus, the longer the Wind Winged Tiger stayed inside the cave and was assaulted by the poisonous smoke, the worse it's condition would turn.
Therefore, the tiger had no choice but to come outside the cave even if it knew that there was an ambush waiting for it on the outside.
Roarrr!!!
Listening to the loud aggrieved roar which was filled with anger as well, Elijah gulped hard and narrowed his eyes since the tiger was obviously going to come out now.
Not worried that the amount of poison which entered its body would be less because the tiger was severely wounded the last time he saw it, and even the slightest poison entering it was enough to further weaken it, Elijah gathered lightning around one fist and fire around another because he had no weapon on him right now.
Patiently waiting for the tiger to come out of the cave, Elijah turned even more serious upon spotting its silhouette through the smoke.
Waiting until the very last second, Elijah didn't hold back at all and jumped towards the tiger which exited the cave.
Looking extremely weak with gruesome wounds all over its body, the tiger gave off a feeling that it would die if even the wind blew too hard due to which Elijah didn't have the slightest fear as he pounced towards it.
Not even pausing a little or hesitating the slightest bit upon spotting the pitiful and pleading look in the tiger's eyes when it noticed him, Elijah simply further increased the flames and lightning around his fists as his body continued approaching it.
Putting aside how he almost died in its hands, Elijah was not some naive fool who considered all life equal and that no creature deserved to die unless it offended him.
What bullshit.
In this world, if you want to grow stronger, killing is something one should be willing to do.
Be it evolved beasts, or jealous enemies.
Kill or be killed!
Eyes shining with determination, Elijah didn't show any pity as both his fists slammed on the back of the tiger which was already on the verge of dying.
BOOM!!
Along with a loud sound, not only was the tiger struck to the ground, its back was completely scorched by the flames while lightning had penetrated inside its body causing crackling sounds to appear from its obviously dead body.
"Hahaha… Can't believe I was almost killed by this beast a day ago."
Shamelessly laughing out loud as if he had killed the beast by himself and hadn't taken advantage of its weak near-death state, Elijah was filled with pride as he looked towards the Wind Winged Tiger's corpse.
Putting aside how he almost died, the final fight against the tiger by itself was many times easier than Elijah had expected it to be.
