It was the 6th day of the 7th month in 3978 year of the Moon Calendar, it was the day when Knave turned 10 years old and also the year when in the future many cultivators would mark as the Cursed day.
Today steward Sam got up early, Knave was given off today so that he could relax on his birthday, Sam was given all the responsibility of managing the event and getting everything ready.
Knave did not have many friends of his age in the mansion and sue to his work and lifestyle he did not make any outside, so Sam was given the work of bringing the kids from the orphanage that he used to live in for his party.
For the kids in the orphanage, it was like new years all over again, they were told by the warden of the orphanage to dress up in their best clothes and to be well behaved in the party.
While all of the mansion was in a rush to complete the necessary preparation, the star of the party had woken up early in the morning to make some preparation of his own.
He had already known about the party a week ago when Robert and Sam were talking about it in private, at that time he had just come to the study to ask for permission to ask whether he could plant some of the herbs which could be used by Robert.
He had overheard them talking about the party but he did not mention this to them so as to use the information to it's best use.
After getting up from his bed he took his leisure time to get ready to act like a normal kid who was given a holiday, taking his time to get ready he looked into his soul space to inspect that all that had happened yesterday was not a dream.
Looking at the Abyss Viper in his soul he could not help but relax looking at it as it was the cutest pet he had if the cultivators in the future could read his thoughts they would vomit blood in resentment but that was in the future, presently he was getting ready for the party that was going to be held in the evening.
He had made adequate preparations for the party because at this party all his previous actions and the "loyalty" will all come together to form a beautiful play which will lead to the climax he has been scheming from the day he set foot in the herb garden.
Today will be the day he would leave the identity of a common herb gardener and start on the path of cultivation, setting up his mind for the next plan he took a cloth pouch from his drawer and tied it around his waist.
After checking that everything was in order he went outside his cottage, looking at the setting sun on the horizon he could see people coming from the front coming to the back garden where the party was set.
The first person he saw when he came out was Melissa who was the cook in the mansion, she was one of the people who always looked after him in the mansion after Robert and Sam.

'Good! master has seen to it that this birthday will not be any different than Lady Vanessa's.'

While chatting with Melissa on the way towards the celebration we talked about the various dishes that were prepared as I liked the food she made very much.
" I think other than cultivation, the only thing I am interested in is delicious food "
