Chapter 53 - Caught

1st PoV

Going my way out of my Charm's class with high marks, I laughed myself out quietly like a psycho planning to kill somebody today. Is it because of the high marks? No obviously.

Midway through the class, my curiosity already let me what should be done. With the charm theories that no one totally listens to, I've brought out my dear diary as I searched for the alphabetically listed potions, and there, is my lottery. Rudimentary Potion.

There's no anything listed about it, description and so, except the ingredients.

Those ingredients, some I know already, some not. Surprisingly, skin of a Mountain Troll is included in the list. And the sad thing is, it's one of the potions that is divided into different parts. You have to make this part before combining it into another part. Like, u should make a dough first, then the sauce separately, then at the end combining them together. Unlike most potions where you can just dump in the ingredients in one cauldron at the time youre gonna make it, here, you have to make each part separately beforehand.

So just staring at the bunch of things that is listed under the certain Potion, it will burn my budget money that I brought here, that's why I thought of a way that will probably work.

Sending a note to Raizel will do, I was planning to buy some of the ingredients in Hogsmeade by sneaking up to the Shrieking Shack but again, my money will be blown off.

Plans one after another, worrying but with enough time, I can probably do it all. Sighing, I closed off my thoughts for the moment checking the time as fast evening approaches.

"Bop it!"

"Twist it!"

"Pull it!"

Bunch of Slytherin Muggles were on their retardation mode today, singing loudly enough for everybody in the long table to hear it.

I shrug my eyebrows, licking the ketchup left in my spoon, eating the last piece of porkchop for the night.

There was some spare time left for students to have, so I grabbed my books and quills going off from the Great Hall, speaking to some ghost and paintings on my way down to the dungeon.

In matter of time, I arrived at my room clothed in my pajamas as I sit alone in my bed. The others are not here yet so it's very peaceful and quiet. Come to think about it, nothing that bad yet happened, and a lot of good things actually happened a lot. Now that worries me is that theres some definitely big shit in the future I would take years to overcome. I have money, knowledge, and power, combining them all, it's my comfort with life, but it's temporary for now.

I'm Afraid.

Why so? I'm just like any other person right out there in the world. Comfort is the highest form of slavery, as you, you yourself know that everything will end someday. And I too know that. That this will all end somehow. That's why I will spend my life preparing for things, to be ready for what fate will give me. But the fear just simply won't go away thst immediately.

I swallowed my saliva down my throat, my roommates popping out suddenly through the door. Wow, how undisciplined, they didn't even knocked....

"Oh hey, youre here..."

'No shit sherlock'

The tone of their voice was distant, and immediate awkwardness took over the room as we stayed still staring at each other, so I just break off that smiling again. They all exhaled simultaneously, going to their bed doing their business one after another. Playing and being a noisy bugs in the room.

It stopped for a bit, as someone approached me.

"By the way...here's the letter someone sent you," The boy, I forgot who he is, gave an envelope, as I thanked him grabbing it. Looking at it, it was the usual envelope. Looking old, with brown hints of color closed off by a black wax in the middle, with the encrypted letter of A.C and C.B.

Soon after, most of them are out right now as they go change to their pajamas outside in the bathroom, in relief, I took the chance to open the letter, as my dumbass thought immediately that A.C stands for Air Conditioning. I mean.. please, who wouldn't? Or am I just that retarded really.

I left that thought immediately as hope creep up to my heart, A.C and C.B, what else can they be? Of course it's those two people that never left a word after dissappearing without my notice or me knowing about it.

Archaic Caius and Claudius Brooks

The hell of a duo. It's an old parchment paper already crampled to oblivion. Thankfully, the letters are still unidentifiable. Fixing the crampled paper, it's a letter. My 'nickname' in the first sentence, without any address of where it came from.

'Dear Kiddo,

We know what bullshit you've been doing in the outside world, shawty brave for you to do that behind us you lil kid. But it's fine, as long as you don't get caught. Don't even try to or your dead. It's my recipe you've been using right?'

Reading the first paragraph, I cough embarrassed. I smiled uncomfortably gulping. So he caught me huh? Disappointed but not surprised. Why did I even expect for him not to find it out when he's the very one who taught me in the first place? Oh well, I just literally cheated him to be honest. Those products are his future, his company 'Night'. I continued in as I chuckled a bit.

'Oh well, I expected you would do that..'

Looking at the next sentence once again, I looked around in suspicion. Expected... Me to do that?

'I checked your little company. It's doing bad really. When I started, I was already earning hundred thousand every week.'

I grunted grinning, what a fucking egoistic narcissist.

'Regarding about me, you will sooner know it anyway... so signing off.'

I swallowed my saliva down my throat clearing my voice. The letter was just brief. It wasn't intended to inform me about something really. Like a letter, just to let me know there's them. Closing it tightly, I stored it into my private cabinet, closing the green lamp finishing the day off.

Waking up the next day, I've put my daily routine, working out with bunch of students, then washing myself for breakfast and classes. The students with me are increasing in numbers surprisingly, like I care really but sure. Not that it would actually make them that stronger... It actually does... but not my level of 'strong'...I feel like a cheat now dammit.

This morning, I sent in my letter to Raizel for the ingredients, proceeding to my afternoon classes that was just useless really. With the afternoon spare time, I could say Justin and Tasia is doing well currently. Not me though.

Since my core is now in the higher level, its more slower than usual. Like real slow. I barely feel that a change is even happening these days. Was it because I just forced too much energy to the two?

Now on, we're going out of the Forbidden Forest as the two follows right behind me, through the path that no one can see us.

"By the way, the Halloween is closing in, you guys have plans?" Tasia asked closing in to us. Asking regarding about the notice in our common room, saying about the events of the nearing November.

"Not that much will happen. The ghost alone is the spotlight and there's no any fun in that.." I answered nonchalant. Aside from Quirells passing out by his overpowering Mountain Troll, not that much.. really..

"I have never experienced what really Halloween really is supposed to be like though," Justin this time answered looking tired, and a bit hopeful. I guess he never did really.

"You guys hang out then. It's your break I give you that." I sighed as they smiled, both discussing with each other what things they're gonna do for the nearing event.

Near the exit, Tasia stopped at her feet surprising us, Justin and I stopped also, and I arched my brow asking.

"Why?"

Her face was turned to another direction, to the north. And it was bearing a confused yet.. anxious ones.

"You guys hear that?"

She asked still staring at the direction, so I looked then, where I gulped seeing a silhouette I cannot really identify.

"Is that a beast?" Justin asked from his memories when they accidentally came here. I too thought the same as they might be the unicorn guys, maybe Taurus, or other more. Passing by with them will be troublesome. Though we can just go to the other way.

But Tasia spoke again, as we hear some more familiar sounds.

"No...." She said silently as we both turned to her.

"No BULLSHIT, ITS SNAPE!"

All together, we simultaneously turned to the silhouette that was nearing by us, only in the matter of seconds, the figure showed himself before we ran. The same old grumpy looking Severus holding the blinding lamps in a baffled face.

"You... ! What, are you doing here in this time of the day?"

Justin was obviously taken back by the cold, silent, yet deadly voice of the man. It was a shivering deserving voice really. Even I almost backed off. He was sneering, deeper than the trench. His face was full of disgust like one, her eyebrows furrowed to the max.

There was no answer as such, there was silence.

" Hmph, I knew it. I'm disappointed. It must be you-"

He pointed at me daringly, looking all smug and confident. "It must be you who lead this two away right?.... And there, professors are praising you left and right...." He grunted heavily, almost to the point Tasia was balling her hands wanting to fist him up. But I looked at her shaking my head.

Detention? I'm fine with that, but what worries me is his Legilimency. Even I don't have the power yet to cover most of my thoughts. And if he perform legilimency to two..... shit.

I was sweating a bit, as the cold wind opposes the heat. He started walking towards outside, his fingers going up signaling for us to follow him. I looked a tthe two, who also seems troubled. They gulped as we consecutively walk through the grassy path, towards the certain dungeon bat.
