"Rayquaza use dragon rush and annihilate them" a loud voice roared and a vicious dragon pokemon came out of the black clouds surrounding the battle field. Rayquaza roared and launched a devestating attack on his opponents. "Charizard use overheat" , "Venasaur use energy ball" , "Blastoise use hydro cannon" , the final forms of the three starters of the Kanto region attacked together on the command of their trainers. The attacks collided with a huge blast, the impact was so powerful that all the surrounding beings whether pokemon or human got thrown away many feets back, and it was evident that the trainer who was strong enough to command and control a pokemon like Rayquaza was still standing and so were the trainers who were facing its wrath. "So, you survived this attack, very well then how about we take things up a notch or two." "Rayquaza I command you Mega-Evolve!!" , the huge mega stone started shining and its effects were visible on Rayquaza as it mega-evolved and everyone felt the pressure of its aura, which was intimidating. "Two can play this game" and the trainers shouted together "Respond to my heart's call, mega-evolve" and the three pokemons Charizard, Blastoise and Venasaur mega-evolved too. The pressure of their auras was also felt by everyone, but the difference of power could be understood with the fact that Rayquaza didn't even flinch. "Lets do this with a one shot K.O, Rayquaza use outrage." Rayquaza rushed towards its opponents and before anyone could even make a move, the three of them were thrashed down.
"Happy birthday son, its time to get up, today is the day you have been waiting for so long, your very own pokemon journey will begin from today." A lady in her early 40s entered the room and caressed his son. "You are right Daisy, one more member of our family is now ready to go down the road of glory." said a man who is in his late 40s. "Thanks alot mom and dad", said a boy who has turned 15 years old today and is all set to embark his own pokemon journey. John is the hero of our story, he is a young bloke, having black hair, a general height of about 5'4" and a mesomorphic physique. "Your father will be accompanying you to the professor's lab. Alright Andrew, you and John better get moving fast or else you will be late." This is the Ketchum family, Andrew is John's father, he himself is an ultimate level trainer and that means as strong as a gym leader. He was one of the fiercest competitors of Samuel Oak when they participated in the Pokemon League. After settling down and having a family of his own he decided to stay in the town named Dacoast. It's a small town in the Kanto region with about 50-60 houses, a townhall, but does not have the facility of Pokemon Center, the nearest one is in Viridian City and the path to it goes through Pallet Town. Every town or city has its chief protector who guards and protects it. The pokemon world then was not as peaceful as it has been shown in the Anime. Life was a lot more difficult, the killing instinct, the instinct for the fight to the "FINISH" was not only present in the humans but, in the pokemons as well. That's right, it was survival of the fittest, and because of this fact humans weren't the only threat, infact pokemons were more dangerous than humans. Usually the scenario was that they used to live quietly in the forests near by but, sometimes they did attack the towns, cities and there were a number of reasons for that. Most common is after a natural calamity or a disease outbreak when food became scarce in the forest and the pokemons have no choice but to attack in a huge group which is led by its leader who is atleast an ultimate level pokemon and can be at begginer master level due to his survival instincts. For dealing with such situations the person who is the protector has to be real veteran and Andrew was such a guy. As for Daisy who is John's mother is a homemaker and a very generous lady but, as with all the women she can also be really tough to handle and deal with if angered!!
Daisy:- "Honey have you packed all your necessary items ? Don't forget to keep the air mail with you, there will be situations when you won't be able to find pokemon centers near you to contact us, and make sure you eat your meals right on time without fail since I won't be there to keep on reminding you. Keep updating and contacting us frequently, or else be ready to face my wrath" Daisy said the last sentence with a lot more seriousness, afterall a child for his mother is always the same kid no matter how grown up he is.
Andrew:- "He is going to be absolutely fine Daisy, kid is really responsible. John remember to keep poitions, full heals, and other necessary items with you. We will purchase some more berries on the way to Pallet Town" He looked right into the eyes of John and patted his head softly. "I know you will make us proud son."
John:- "I will father, i will overcome all the challenges, and one day i sure will become a pokemon master" he told his parents with determination and grit in his eyes. He thought to himself "this is the dream I have seen with open and closed eyes, day and night, and now the time has come to make it happen."
Daisy gave a tight hug to his son and waved at him as he took his first step on the path which is awaiting for him with numerous challenges and battles.
In the next chapter John will be getting his official starter, and will be traveling through deep and sprawling Viridian forest that extends around Viridian City.
