The princess was shocked at this mans informalities, as he began to speak once more.
"I've heard that today you'll be announcing your marriage, I'm here to oversee the suitors, and help her majesty pick the best one."
The princess didn't understand why some strange man, was going to counsel her on her marriage. This man looked like he hasn't had a bath in months, nor his clothes looked like a consulars. The princess was appalled at the gall of this man, and spoke.
"What gives you the right to counsel me, on my own marriage, who do you think you are!!"
As the princess was fuming, the man hide a smirk under his cloak, and spoke.
"Hahaha.... who am I, I am a Throne Forgers, but today I am simply your consultant."
The princess was taken aback, she didn't understand why someone would joke about such people. Nonetheless this man claimed to be one, he was dirty and crude with no respect. Then she was stuck by the stories of her childhood. In the books it said that they served the thrones not the kings, and held giants war-hammers, which this man had. Yet this man didn't look as the stories depicted. He didn't ride a gold plated war beast, nor was he clad in platinum and jewelry. The princess thought to herself and bursted out.
"You dare mock the great Throne For..."
At that moment her voice began to shake, as tears flowed down her cheeks once more. She slowly slumped to the ground, balling in tears. The retainer ran over to her and asked.
"Your majesty are you alright!"
As she kept crying she began to speak.
"W-Why did you lie, claiming to be a Forger, why did Relakos fool me like this."
The words she spoke shook the man, how does she know the name of the obsidian throne. The thrones only show their names to ones that are truly worthy of them. This meant that the girl in front of him truly honored the throne. He walk over to the crying princess and crouched in front of her, and began to speak.
"Your majesty, it seems that the throne has let you know it's name, which mean you will be a great queen."
This however didn't seem to stop her from crying. It was his first time interacting with a princess, in fact any girl at all.
He lived in the mountains with is father that was ill. He didn't have any friends nor extended family, however one fateful day changed that. As he was running through the forests on the mountain side, he noticed something as bright as the sun. It was a man dressed in platinum slumped up against a tree. Blood was pooling from his mouth and his helmet was removed, showing an old fragile face. The boy at the time ran home to get some medical supplies, that he usually used for his father. Yet by the time he arrived the old man was gone. So he instead left some cheese and bread, for the old man, and went home. The next morning the bread and cheese was gone. He was happy to help someone in need, and a smile drew big on his face appeared. Later that day he heard a knock on the door. It was the old man in armor, he greeted the boy and ask if his parents where home. The boy responded.
"My father is ill.... and my mother is dead"
The sadness on the boys face was clearly seen, so the old man spoke yet again.
"Well then... my name is Gash what is your?"
The boy looked up showing hospitality.
"My name is Nova!"
Gash responded.
"Well hello Nova, is it all right if I come in?"
"Oh and thank you for the food yesterday, it was delicious."
Gash said smiling.
Nova opened the door to let Gash in, Gash began to take off is armor showing a very skinny physique. Gash was 336 years old, only because he was a Throne Forger. Yet he only looked to be about 60. He asked kindly.
"Nova what is your father I'll with?"
Nova shuttered and took a minute to respond.
"The doctors don't know, they say it's a type of blood disease, they say he doesn't have much longer."
"However I'm hopeful he'll pull through, I just know it."
Gash grew a sorrowful look in his eyes, for he new that Novas father wouldn't make it more the a week. For blood diseases where extremely deadly. Gash looked up at Nova and said.
"Yes, let us hope for him to get well soon, and let us pray that the Throne blesses him!"
Nova didn't understand the last part to what he said, but he wasn't angry, he believed his father need all the prayers he could get. Nova spoke to Gash in an excited manner.
"Yes let's both pray for his wellness!"
At that moment Gash saw the makings of a Forgers stand in front of us very eyes. He spoke inwardly and said.
'He shows all the characteristics needed but let's make sure just in case, if anything I might have to continue my search.'
Gash spoke to Nova, in a apologetic manner.
"Nova I was wondering if I could, stay her for awhile, and rest these old bones of mine."
"I promise not to cause mu..."
Before Gash could finish speaking Nova gladly shouted.
"Yes, of course, I was gonna offer you a place anyways till you feel like going on your way."
Gash was surprised at this conclusion, he thought the boy would shoo him away. Yet he actually planned on extending his hospitality, towards him. What a nice boy. Oh I almost forgot, as Gash started to speak.
"Nova how old are you, I'm just curious, I have a great granddaughter around your age, so I was wondering."
Nova became embarrassed at Gashs question and said.
"I'm 13, b-but I'll be turning 14 next month."
Gash responded.
"Oh splendid, I was spot on, my great granddaughter is your age, maybe I could introduce you sometime."
Gash laughed.
As the sun went down and the stars arose, Nova approached Gash as said.
"I'm sorry mister Gash we don't have a spare room, so would it be ok if you took my bed I'll sleep outside."
Gash was shocked at what he was hearing, this young man was willing to giving up his room, to an old man he hardly knows. Gash scratched his head and said.
"Are you sure Nova, I can go sleep outside."
Nova shook his head, suggesting he was ok with it. He led Gash to his room and then proceeded to go outside.
Nova wasn't bothered by the wilderness at night, quite the opposite. He loved the stars that twinkled above his head, and slowly began to fall asleep.
