It was finally Saturday and Lu Shen had the day off. He wanted to spend more time his fiancée.
He excitedly drove his car over to Tang Lin's house and rang the doorbell. Nobody answered, so he rang it again. Once again, there was no answer.
Shen already knew the password to get it, but he never put it in because he wanted to see his beloved open the door personally for him.
But when she did not answer, Shen put in the password and entered the mansion. His eyes skimmed the place, but he could not find her.
He then went upstairs, but he still could not find her. Where could she be?
When he went back down the stairs, he took a glance at the living room and his legs almost gave up from the shock. He was so close to tumbling down the stairs when he saw a woman sitting on the couch, bundled in a bunch of blankets. Her hair was spread all around her face and she looked like a ghost in horror movies. Actually, she looked scarier than a ghost!
"Lin, you scared the crap out of me! Why the heck are you sitting there like that?" He walked over and sat down next to her. Then, he brushed her hair away from her face with his fingers.
When he looked closer at her, he saw that she was sleeping, while sitting up, and there were drool and tear marks near her eyes and mouth.
Her eyes slowly opened and she noticed that Shen was sitting besides her.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to hang out with you, but it seems as if you're pretty messed up right now, so I'll just take my leave," Shen said because he was truly scared of her current appearance.
She looked like she just got dumped and she just finished crying from the breakup.
"Why were you crying? Did I do something wrong?" Shen was scared that he was the cause of her sadness.
"No! I watched a sad scene from a Korean drama earlier! Stupid male lead! He's a CEO, but he can't even choose who he gets to marry! He had to marry that snobby fiancée and leave his pregnant girlfriend!! In the end, she had a miscarriage!" Tang Lin's tears started to pour out once again.
Shen was in disbelief. He thought he did something wrong to make her cry. Turns out she was just crying over a TV drama!
"He's a stupid CEO. If I was him, I would never leave you. I would rather give up the company," he said as scooted closer to her and pulled her towards him, so she could cry on him.
He was flirting with her again.
"You better! If you betray me, I'll hunt your whole family down. I'll save you for last and beat you up to death!!" Lin was so angered when she imagined Shen having another fiancée, other than her, and leaving her when she was pregnant.
"Okay! Okay. Go take a shower," Shen said as he took the blanket off of her and led her upstairs to the bathroom.
He waited in the living room, and after an hour, she wasn't coming out so he thought that something must've happened.
He went upstairs and opened the room door. When he saw her with a towel wrapped around her body, he turned away from her and tried to explain himself.
"I thought something happened because you weren't coming out. I'll leave right now!" He was ready to step back out, but he felt someone grab his wrist.
"I need help. Come over here. I can't reach my back." Lin led him to sit on her bed and passed him a lotion bottle. She adjusted her towel, so that her back would be shown.
Shen used to massage his mother's back when she was finished watering the plants in her garden, so he was very good at it.
Although she didn't ask for a massage, Shen saw that her back was strained from sitting up all night, so he rubbed and massaged Lin's back with the lotion she gave him earlier.
She felt relaxed and was about to fall asleep. The towel slipped from her hand, and Shen saw that, so he immediately pulled it back up.
"Hey! Keep it up! Aren't you afraid I might take advantage of you while you sleep?" Shen asked her, so she would be more aware of her surroundings.
"You wouldn't dare. I will beat you up and throw you out the window before you get the chance to," she said as she stood up and went back into the bathroom.
Five minutes later, she opened the door and came out to get her hairbrush. Her face had a natural flush to it from just coming out of the shower. She was wearing black sweats and a grey sweater that Shen left the last time he was there. He loved it when she would wear his clothes because it was as if he marked his claim on her with his clothes.
After she finished brushing her hair, Lu Shen swooped her off her feet and put her on the bed. Then, he gave her a kiss and their tongues intertwined.
When they separated, Lin started to blush. This was the first time they had kissed so deeply.
"Sorry, I couldn't help myself." Shen said as they both chuckled.
Lin wrapped her arms around his neck for another kiss and felt his hand grab her waist. After their long kiss, they finally got up and went downstairs.
Tang Qingyu and Tang Jin were at the Tang Residence since the night before, so they were alone in the mansion.
Lin left her phone in the living room, so as they walked over to the couch, they heard the phone ring. Tang Wei was calling her.
"Hello? Father?"
"It's Qingyu. I left my phone in my room since last night. Can you drop it off for me? I'm busy helping Father with work."
She complied and went to his room to retrieve the phone. Suddenly, his phone lit up and their was a text notification that popped up. It was from a person named "Ying-Ying".
The message said, "I wouldn't want you to contact me again if you're going to continue to insist on breaking them up."
Break them up? Who was Ying-Ying?
She already knew his obvious password, 1234, so she unlocked his phone and looked at his previous messages with this woman. She knew that it wasn't right for her to snoop in his phone, but he was planning on breaking people up, so she needed to know about it in order to stop him.
She kept on scrolling and finally, a message caught her eye. It said, "It's none of your business whether or not Lin and my brother like each other. If they want to be together, then they could be together. IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!"
She remembered the person's name, Ying-Ying and thought, 'Was this Lu Ying, Shen's sister?'
To confirm her suspicions, she called the person and a familiar voice of a woman was heard from the phone.
"Tang Qingyu, have you decided whether or not you object to their relationship yet? Have you changed your mind about them being together?"
Tang Lin immediately hung up and erased the call log, so her brother wouldn't know that she called.
"Honey, did you get it yet? Let's go," Shen yelled from the living room, so she could hear him.
"Okay. I'm coming right now."
The couple got into the car and Lin was wondering about how and how long her brother and future sister-in-law knew each other. Also, it seemed as if Lu Ying was trying to convince Qingyu to stop objecting to their relationship. They must've known each other for a long time considering the informal way they texted each other. Was their relationship the cause of his objection?
