This sight, it's beautiful! The sky is the color of roses, cloudless and clear. The air smells like candy and sugar. And the land is bright and glowing. It's wonderful! I'm so filled with joy it's uncontainable. This place is better than anyone's idea of a perfect paradise.
As I start to turn around to see the rest, however, things start to change. No longer is the sky a spotless pink. No longer is there a sweet familiar sent in the air. And the horizon is filled with garbage and dirt.
How? How could this happen? Is it even possible for half of the world to be a Blissful Heaven and the other to be a Horrible Hell? What happened to this poor boy's home for it to look this way?
I face this mysterious man, who came to me, of all people, in his time of need. He has the most sorrowful look on his face. I won't judge. His home is a mess. I have to help him. I must!
"So, will you do it? Will you help me?", He begs me, pleading on his knees. "Please, Jessica?"
I notice even in his worst moments how handsome he is. I know I just met this lost soul, but I trust him, wholeheartedly. And I know he is entrusting me with his own. So, I nod, forcing a smile on my face as I try not to cry.
"What do I do?" I say, ready to help him. "How do I start? I'll do whatever I can to help" I respond to him as a blush creeps onto my cheeks.
He's so perfect. I think I'm in love. No. Am I? I've never been in love before. Is this what it feels like? I wonder if it is...
"We have to find the cause of the realm's misfortune. I was told only a child from Terra could help me. I had to find a girl who is a descendant of the group who traveled long ago. And that person is you."
This tale sounds vaguely familiar to me. My Great-Great-Grandparents once told me a story like that. However, due to their old age and disappearing minds, my mom told me it was just a lie, told from a senile couple. But their crazy fantasy was right in front of me. How could I not believe their tale as I am breathing in the world they had once described to me as a child.
"But how did you know it was me, Aiden?" I questioned, somehow knowing his name despite him never telling me. I'm positive he wouldn't know me. Did I ever know him?
"We never met before that day at school. Unless..." Then suddenly, I remembered my childhood friend. Because only I saw him, everybody thought he was imaginary. But he was real.
"I remember. I remember you now! Aiden I remember you!" I was smiling from ear to ear now, finally reunited with my best friend in the multiverse. I had forgot all about him until now. I'm so ashamed!
I held out my hand to him. Slowly he stood once more.
"Come on, Aiden! I know what I have to do now. I know how to help save our world!"
