Zhou Ting sat legs crossed as he watched the people around him. After observing for a while, he finally spoke.
" Chen Tian get me a laptop so I can work from here. As for the rest of you, I have the whole day so there's no rush. " He uncrossed his legs and then stood up walking towards the tank in the middle of the room over which Si Muyan was hanging before he continued speaking.
" I had said before that you should not leave any bruises on his body but now I've changed my mind." He said while looking him straight in the eyes a faint smile that didn't seem to be a smile appearing on his face making him appear even more handsome than he already was. " Lower him down by twenty centimeters towards this tank every hour until he confesses. I don't care how long it takes I've got time."
He said before returning to his seat legs crossed again and then he collected the laptop he had asked for from Chen Tian propped it on his legs and began working like it was his comfortable office.
Even though he had whole heartedly wanted to let the police handle everything, he decided to do his own investigations and let the police find their own evidence.
That's right! He wanted them to actually get down to work and do what they were paid for.
He knew they were already doing their job to the best of their abilities, even though the majority were only doing it because of his identity and nothing else, but he didn't want to hand over Si Muyan to them.
Since he already had the culprit, he wouldn't let him go without getting anything from him after all, his parents were still lying lifeless in the hospital and only God knew how much guilt he felt.
Guilt because the person in the car that day should have been him!
The person lying unconscious in the hospital should also have been him!
Why then would he jeopardize his quickest and fastest route of revenge by handing his only clue and link to the mastermind to the police?
He didn't care how long it took, but he would make sure the person behind everything rots away in jail.
Even though he had to abandon and shut up that little voice in his head telling him to take the guy to the police instead of soiling his hands with his blood, he would do it.
Even though he had to send the guy to the depths of hell, he would do it without a care.
He also knew that what he wanted to do most was to give the man before him a slow and painful death and also give the mastermind the chance to experience what it felt like to be a living corpse.
What it felt like to hang on the doorway between life and death and still be unable to achieve either of them.
But he knew that he must keep his inner demon in check. He must try to always be rational and in control, for his family, his long lost and then now found love and now also for his daughter.
