Mo Ning strolled down the street dejected and frustrated with the industry.
She just left yet another set trying to get a role even if it was as a Canon fodder but they all wanted the same thing ' her body' before they would even consider hiring her for any role.
She wondered if everything would be different if she had listened to her mother's advice and not gone into the entertainment industry in the first place.
Would she have a degree in business instead of acting?
would she be seated in a comfortable office attending to files instead of moving from set to set looking for a small role?
But even if she started to think about all that could have been it didn't change the fact that she studied acting in college or that she was moving from set to set.
Oh what a wonderful life she had!
She let out a long sigh preparing to go to the next set which happens to be the set of a movie under Zhou Man entertainment, the king of all entertainment companies in the country not just Yun city.
Zhou Ting the owner of Zhou Man entertainment was a man who wasn't born with a silver spoon, he struggled through life and was able to achieve so much at thirty-eight.
He was a very handsome looking man but oddly enough he has never been seen with any woman in an intimate way, he rarely appeared on TV or in the papers but whenever he appeared he always had on a wooden expression making anyone around him have a weird feeling of seeing a block of wood even though it was just in the papers.
"miss how may I help you? " the voice of the security at the entrance of the set brought Mo Ning back to the present. Realizing how far her mind had wandered, she gave herself a mental facepalm.
This set happened to be the most unlikely one where she would find a job which was why she saved it for last, but here she was who knows maybe luck would decide to shine on her today, she tried to convince herself being that it didn't seem to look on her lately.
" hello, I was wondering if I could speak with the director of the movie being shot" Mo Ning replied.
"but the director didn't inform me of any visitors, is he aware you are here? "
" actually... he isn't aware, I just wanted to try to see if I could get a minor role in the movie"
"Oh that! I don't think he'll be willing to see you but let me check with him to be sure. Please wait here "
" alright thanks"
Mo Ning felt butterflies all over her stomach;performing different dance moves as a way of reminding her of her situation.
She was so nervous because this was her only hope of getting a Job today,feeling jittery was an understatement to what she felt hopefully everything would go just fine.
Or maybe not.
Maybe she shouldn't put all her eggs in this basket.
