One Last Story - The Day When the Hell Gate Wide Open and Close
This is something that happened in a random lunar seventh month. In some Eastern culture, it is said that during the fifteenth day of the Seventh month of lunar calendar, the 'gate' between human world and the afterlife will be wide open. Then at the thirtieth, the gate will be closed, and those ' hell messengers' will catch any of the roaming spirits back to the Afterworld...
Anyway, during the fifteenth of the Seventh month, people will hold an offering ceremony to the friends from the other world. Usually they will place a lot of different types of foods and drinks on the ground with a mat, and sometimes, they even offer some heavy foods like roasted chicken. However, no one is allowed to take the food until the ceremony is over, well, usually no one would even when the ceremony is over but sometimes there will be some insolent one that doesn't know or rather doesn't believe about those rules. And so, there is one rebellious girl that claims to be an atheist and does not believe about the rules, she felt that, those foolish superstitious people were actually wasting all the good food that she needs to spend money to buy. With this mindset, she had an 'interesting' thought, she planned to snatch that chicken which displayed on a higher platform on the ground.
Just when she was about to take action, she heard a voice from behind. "If you thinking to take those food, I advise you to think about it twice. This feast is not prepared for a human like you." she looks behind her, it's a black-haired man, with heavy eye bags, next to him is a gentleman with glasses. She felt a bit provoked by him, so she pointed a middle finger to him and run away. Although she was warned, but she still snatched a thigh from the chicken at the platform when the ceremony still in progress. However, the moment she bites into the thigh, she realized somethings really wrong about it. The thigh doesn't feel like chicken or rather instead of chicken, it feels like she was biting on a lump of gooey paper shreds.
"I did tell you those foods are not for you right?" she heard the same voice again. She looked back again, it's those two men again, and this time there's two other men joined them, one in white shirt and one in black shirt, compared to last time she saw them, they look rather inhuman. So she turned around and tried to run away again, but as she turned, she felt some changes in her vision, at the place where all the foods were displayed, there were a lot of badly deformed translucent human figures feasting on the food in a rather disgusting way which cause her to puked out all the contents in her stomach and fainted.
In the dark... She heard that familiar voice again. "Ah... Not this again? These horse face and cow heads really like to mess things up." "Yes, but it's weird enough that she doesn't even look like a ghost, why would they mistook her as one?" "Who knows, let's send her back anyway..."
