When you are able to become fully immersed in whatever you want, sharing it with others and confining yourself to something definitely makes it special... I'm not just going to create a small world of my own where I'm just the best, I'll make myself the best in someone else's shit.
Action followed by reaction, swords clashing with shields. It was a one sided duel for Arch. Despite his new evolution he couldn't keep up with the sheer amount of defence that his opponent accumulated.
Stale mates are meant to be broken, with Asi left without a task I sent a message to Arch.
- I have a secret for you, come here. -
I'm going to let you guys in on this secret, it's nothing special. I'm just hyping it up for Arch. You see, summons at high levels can attach themselves to weapons or players. Therefore a sort of upgrade, turning the stats of the summon into stats for a weapon, resulting in ridiculously high power.
Since the prick I'm fighting still hasn't finished his cool magic, I have some time to spare for this.
Suprisingly.
Arch rushed over to me, leaving the slow tank, and I started the ritual needed for it.
Gathering the Mana from my core, I made it flow through the rod like electricity through a wire... the rod shook and sprouted flames from the ends, and Asi started glowing.
Chant or Magic circles... this was a hotly debated topic through the mage communities about their effectiveness... some even swore by not using any of them. But, the man I've been fighting is using both... so why not use both too?
I began constructing a magic circle, it's nothing difficult with the system helping me... it's like when your a kid and if you think hard enough you believe you'll get super powers.
Chants on the other hand, are a little more difficult for me... I'm not exactly good at making chants.
But, thankfully I stole one off of a Summoner player, you honestly don't need to be original. Chants have to be spoken aloud, so I guess I need to be kinda lame right now.
Ugh, let's get it over with.
Me - " For all the good and evil I shall conjure, I bring unto you. Bear them under your might and make them fade from your Sunder. Splinter their shields and Dull their blades with the force of mine. "
Neat little chant right...
It gets the job done at least, now I got to wait untill the Magic circles click into place. Bright red runic symbols and text splinters from my rod and surrounds the ground around Arch, very similar to a summoning circle.
We'll see what happens when Arch gets the power of a Summoned creature as a blade. Infact their is quite a few Summoner builds focused on that. I know one of the top players did that... if I remember correctly.
Looks like the circles are complete, for both me and my opponent. He seems to be waiting for something I guess.
Arch's fists and eyes became full of bright flames, black and white spitfire coming from where his blade once reached, covering what once used to be metal with Napalm that burned everything around it.
Without a second though, Arch blitzed back to fight his opponent, Wich met him with a large shield that... appropriate to the chant splintered against the heat and pressure by the flames.
I turned to face my opponent, and I saw a huge mech. What kinda bullllllllshiiiiiit build did you do to get that?
I'm keeping my distance from that thing while I figure out what exactly it can do. A giant mech... really?
I get I have a gun... but where does the line stop between fantasy and sci fi?
So here's a few possible answers to the build he is using.
1: Wizard and Engineer
2: Summoner and Engineer
3: Engineer and Warlock
Both of these have distinct differences in how you counter them... and I don't want to accidentally fuck it up... for the most part I'm thinking of using my AoE Trickshot ability... but that might backfire if he is a summoner.
But if he is, what's his summon? Don't tell me it's the mech... if that's the case then I'm fucked due to engineers abilities.
Basically, they can add unique effects to basically anything that's tech based except things from other classes. So if he made a mech summon, then he can upgrade it with his engineer abilities and boost make it constantly get stronger with levels.
Finally a challenge, I thought that this whole novel will just be me kicking the shit out of everything.
I decide to gamble a little bit, it's about a 2/3 chance that using an AoE shot will have a positive effect based on my predictions on his class. If he's a Warlock it would be super effective as well, so as they say... life's a gamble.
I fired a quick shot, aiming at the legs...
Unfortunately it looks like he blocks it once again with the arcane wall or whatever.
Bolts of huge arcane ammunition rocket out of the huge guns placed on its shoulders, but it seems I'm still at the advantage for actually hitting targets... he can't aim for shit.
Sprint and Stealth are contributing still... Its just that he missed by alot more than reasonable. I barley had to move to dodge it. Maybe he just made the mech with Wizard magic so he can't actually use it effectively? I didn't think that a spell can do that by using both chants and Magic circles together... I assume you can create some complex spells with that shit.
Also, what the fuck is the Mini boss doing? Should I ask the system?
Hey, system! Explain what's going on with the Mini boss right now!
Mini Boss - Vanquished by " Dice "|
Wait...
Ok, I'm just going to keep that in mind for later, missiles are coming towards me right now.
I fired a few more shots off with my rifle, using trick shot... but instead opting to us a different type.
Piercing bullet.
Usually it's used by Snipers that aren't pierce type so they can do more damage, usually for pierce type snipers like me I don't need it. But using both at the same time allows for bullets to
* Break * Magic. It's kind of a glitch or something...
As far as I know... the defence of a Magic shield is equal to the caster's
Int stat x Level + equipment. Usually you can't break it because of that... but pierce damage does something special.
The way defence is calculated against damage is as such.
Damage = Attack - Defence / Pierce
So by using two pierces it does something weird.
Damage = (Attack x Pierce - Defence) x Pierce.
With this, I hopefully can out power the defences the arcane shields have... I assume that the mech's defence must not be up to par on defence due to him using arcane shields instead of casting attack magic.
* Ping *
The fire power from that bullet was no joke... it even had recoil despite my nullification. Speaking of which how did that mage launch me into a crater when I have that? Is the Skill just bugged?
Whatever... it still removed recoil from normal bullets.
Speaking of bullets... my attack burrowed through a swiftly erected shield like a rat through cheese. Emerging on the other side leaving a hole the size of a fist through the chest of the mech.
I can see the insides of the Mech now, looks like the inside of a cardboard model of a Mech on the inside... I don't really get how it works.
The hole didn't seem to leave too much damage to the Mech, but the owner sure wasn't happy.
??? - " How the hell did you pierce through the shield! "
... is that a real question or rhetorical?
I'll answer anyways.
Me - " Fuck you, that's why. "
Exactly as I expected, he started raging like a Cultivation Novel Enemy... I'll spare you the details but basically he is saying that he'll call crimson on me...
Yeah.
Crimson.
You know, me.
I've already made the mistake of telling Ruby that so I won't elaborate. Instead I'll send some more fucking bullets into that super sized cosplay of a bakugon of the little twats.
I feel like, this should be more dramatic? It's a cool boss fight that lasted 2 chapters... but I guess Arch gets to have all the cool points.
I'm litterally a Side charector right now... not even fighting the leader of the squad.
With a loud crash, the Titan sized kitchen sink fell to the ground and shook the huge room we were in, some statues falling to the ground from the impact.
