(The title says it all, read at your own risk!)
I assumed he would hug back but instead, he brought his face closer to mine. He kissed me.
Unlike before, I wasn't startled or wanted to break away. In fact, I would rather stay here, without worrying about anything but the two of us. It was a peaceful thought.
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist. He pulled me closer into his grip as his arms traced downwards. Following his rhythm, I laid my hand on his chest. His lips slowly leaving mine, kissing my jaw, they trailed down my neck slowly. I quickly understood the direction this was headed in. I pushed him away awkwardly.
"Fulcrum." I said softly, my breathing somewhat disturbed. He stopped and moved back. We both stared at each other for a moment before moving away. I stood on the sand with my hands clasped, trying to calm my heart that was beating out of my chest. Fulcrum however, was staring at me, scanning my fidgety figure.
"I-I promise I'll come back soon." I said. He looked at me. I noticed the slight puff of his lips. I looked away blushing.
"I have to go now." I said. Turning around, I headed out of the water. He grabbed my arm. He held it for a moment before letting go.
"Come back soon." He eventually said. I nodded without turning around before quickly rushing up to the surface.
Upon getting out of the water, a cold breeze blew past, the sun had already set and I was beyond freezing. I looked down just to remind myself what I was wearing. I then ran I full speed towards the house before locking the door. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around myself before heading upstairs to shower.
"I should be more careful.." I thought to myself, my face still burning from our moment in the water. I walked back inside and locked the door. Retiring to my room for the rest of the day.

After I had woken up, I went downstairs and started to put the leftover things from the night before away. As I was about to put the trash out, a bright light snapped in my face. I quickly shut the door. Soon after, more lights were being snapped and loud voices from outside. I felt fear spread throughout my body. I locked the front door and ran to lock the screen door. Right before locking it, I noticed the flower sitting out in the shade. I grabbed it and ran back inside to lock the door. Running upstairs, I immediately called my mom.
"Yes dear-"
"Mom! There are a bunch of- of people outside!" I yelled.
"What? Lock the doors!" She said.
"I did! Mom what's going on?" I said. Reality set in when I heard more loud yells and flashes from outside.
"I'll be right there! Lock your bedroom door unless you here my voice! Okay? Stay inside!" She yelled through the phone. Before I could respond. My mom hung up. Placing my phone down. I quickly locked my bedroom door.
Pacing back and forth, I peeped out of my window to see that more reporters had arrived. My house was now covered in new reporters. My heartbeat started to speed up and I quickly closed my blinds and curled up in the corner. My breathing unbalanced as I stayed I the corner of my room. After calming down, I was barely able to make out what the people were saying.
"Is it true you have a Clavem Abscondita flower?" One yelled.
"Do you have any other seeds?" Another said.
"Their petals are revealed to cure anything, what is your response!" A third.
My brain went blank as I grabbed my phone, dialing Maddie.
"Hello-"
"You told the media?!!! How could you!?" I yelled through my phone.
"What? What are you talking about?"
"If had told me you wanted it so bad, I would have given it to you! But getting them to flood my house?!" My voice got softer as the paparazzi got louder. They were like a vicious mob that wouldn't stop until they had answers.
"What? Somnium where are you? What paparazzi?!" She yelled back. My heart stopped. I cut off the phone as I sat on the floor.
"Who could have possibly told?" I thought to myself. The loud banging at my door and the constant ring of the doorbell was starting to make my head hurt. I pressed the palm of my hands to my ears.
"Leave me alone! Please!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. It continued no matter how loud I yelled.
"Stop it!" I screamed again. Their screams only got louder. My hands were trembling and I wasn't able to think straight. I squeezed my eyes shut.
Suddenly, the cameras stopped and it went silent. My door suddenly opened and loud footsteps came rushing in. Then banging on the door.
"Mom! Mom is that you?" I quickly got up and was about to check when my phone on the floor started ringing. The caller ID showed "Mom".
My heart dropped as I grabbed my phone and the plant before running into my bathroom, locking the door and turning off the lights.
I picked up the phone and spoke quietly.
"M-mom?" I said trembling. Tears streaming down my face.
"Yes dear? I'm on my right now. Stay put." She said.
"Mom, Someone is in the house." I whispered. My mom went silent.
"Dear, stay in your room and lock the door." She said.
"It is, it is. Mom what's happening? How did they get in? Should I call the cops?" I said.
"Dear, it's alright, stay inside. I'll call them right now." She answered again. Cutting off the phone, the loud bangs on my door returned. I then heard a familiar voice.
"Somnium? Are you in there! It's Maddie." I quickly hid the plant before checking the door.
"Is it really you Maddie?" I asked. I heard a sigh from the other side.
"Yes, yes. It's really me." She responded. Opening up the door carefully, I saw Maddie with a worried expression standing behind the door.
"Are you okay? I'm sorry my body guard scared you, he was rather loud-"
I hugged her tight and cried loudly. My breathing uneven. She tensed up before hugging me back.
"I'm, I'm sorry." She said. I continued to cry until I felt my headache get worse. She softly pushed me away before looking at my pained expression.
"Are you alright? Somnium?" Her voice was the last thing I heard before my vision faded.
"The, Flower." I managed to get out before I felt my head hit the floor harshly.
