Chapter 17 - The Weekend- Chapter 17

The next day quickly rolled around and I couldn't be more exited. Maddie decided to come extremely early in the day so we could have the most time to do everything we wanted to. While she could have just slept over at my house, both met parents and my mom weren't exactly the most comfortable with the idea. I didn't mind. I was just happy she was able to come over.

At 4am, the doorbell rang. I quickly ran downstairs to open it. My mom was doing overtime and wouldn't come home until late. We had the house to ourselves all day.

Opening the door, I was met with a grinning Maddie who had a duffel bag in one hand and a smaller bag in the other. Glancing at the duffel bag, I looked at her cautiously.

"Are we hiding a death body?" I said. She laughed before walking inside. Not before nodding off to her driver. I shut the door. Turning around, I saw a very excited Maddie staring back at me.

"Look what brought!" She said. I guided her to the bare living room before she unpacked. My mouth went wide.

In the smaller bag, she had a bunch of random face masks. But I could tell these weren't your typical Walmart masks that cost one dollar. They had a fancy silver and gold logos on them and were in different containers. Gasping, I picked one up.

"What is this?" I said, flipping it over the small container, I read the logo.

"La Crème..." I had to think for a moment before gasping loudly. I gently placed the container back down. Seeing my reaction, Maddie smiled at me.

"I'm guessing you know the brand?" She said. I looked up at her. Then back down at the bag filled with La Crème products. I almost fainted.

"Y-you, this isn't real is it?" I said. She laughed again before showing me the container again.

"All real." She said. "See, I'll even open it-"

"No! We can still return it! Leave it like this." I said catching her hands. She started laughing again.

"Why? My mom is good friends with the CEO. We got these for free." She said. My eyes bulged out of there sockets.

"FREE?!?!" I yelled. She smiled proudly. I sat back down on the floor, my mind blank.

"Your telling me," I gulped. "You have a bag fulled with THE La Crème products... and you brought them to my house?!??" I said. She shrugged.

"Do you not want them? I will take it back.." she said. I quickly shook my head.

"I-I mean, you don't have to do that, I won't turn down a gift.." I said, rummaging through the bag, I found almost every single La Crème product in there. I tried to calculate it all but my head started to hurt. I quickly set the bag to the side and stared at the duffel bag. Noticing my worried expression, Maddie started laughing.

"Don't worry! These are just my things, promise." She said. I sighed deeply.

"Oh thank god, I think I would have had a heart attack." I said. She started laughing again.

"Okay so, what's the plan for today?" She said excited. I quickly adjusted my mind. Trying not to focus on the hundred of dollar products next to me.

"Alright, first thing, building a fort!!" I said excitedly. Maddie clapped.

"Thank you, " I said taking a bow. We laughed before I got up to get the blanket my mom had bought.

After about thirty minutes of music and dancing, the fort was up. It was a rather big one, it almost looked like a mini circus tent inside the house. I gasped in slight awe.

"Wow, I didn't expect it to look this good." I said. Maddie nodded.

"Me too. Whats next?" She said, I then remembered how early in the morning it was. An idea came to mind.

"How about we make pancakes!!" I said. Maddie gasped. Her eyes sparkled.

"Yes! That sounds fun!" She said excited. Raiding my fridge, we soon pulled together all the ingredients.

"This is gonna be easy! I'm a pro at this!" I said. Maddie looked at me cautiously before shrugging.

About 30 minutes in and i had managed to burn the three pancakes I had made. I frowned.

"It wasn't this difficult when I had made pancakes before" I was thinking to myself. Maddie couldn't stop laughing at the pile of black pancakes sitting on my plate.

"It-it looks like charcoal!" She said before starting to laugh again. I couldn't help but laugh while looking at them.

"Fine! You come and try." I said, handing Maddie the spatula.

"Alright! I will." She said taking it.

Only 10 minutes had passed and Maddie had managed to have a stack of 5 pancakes piled on a plate.

"What? How is that even possible!" I looked at her plate shocked. She smiled brightly.

"I'm a pro at cooking." She said. I rolled my eyes. So you waited to tell me that after I almost burned the house down." I said. She laughed before nodding.

"You did say you were a pro." She said. I rolled my eyes before leaving the kitchen.

"I'll get the Netflix set up." I said. I heard her laugh loudly before I left.

About thirty minutes later and Maddie had finished cooking. We cleaned the kitchen before diving back under the fort with our pancakes, syrup, and juice.

"Woah! This is so cool!" Maddie exclaimed. I had set up my laptop under the fort with pillows everywhere.

"So maybe cooking isn't your specialty, at least you could be an architect!" She said. I glanced at her before we erupted into laughter.

We watched about three movies before getting bored, we had finished all the pancakes as well.

"Hmm, how about we try out those face things you got?" I said. Maddie clapped again.

" Why don't we set up a spa!" She exclaimed.

I thought about it before nodding.

"We're going to have to take down the fort though." I said. We sat there for a second before both grabbing a pillow and rushing outside of the fort. We smacked the fort repeatedly until it came crashing down.

"Or I can be a demolition worker." I said before laughing.

Putting all the blankets away, we dragged two chairs and a tiny taller table. Placing a mirror on it, our set up was complete.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the S&M Spa!" I said. Maddie chuckled before heather bag filled with La Crème products. I tried to stop my brain from automatically calculating the price of everything in there. Maddie turned to me.

"Shall we begin?" She said with a smile.
