As the superior dragon Grount looked up at the sky, she wondered.
Just where did it go wrong?
Was it something she said?
That couldn't be it, having lived for a few hundred years she atleast knew that there shouldn't have been anything wrong with her speech.
Was it her face? perhaps he had something against beautiful looking dragons?
No matter how much Grount thought she just couldn't understand.
"Don't let her escape! use your magic!"
"Yes master!"
Black coloured spider webs covered Grount's vision, the magic power flowing through the black webs made it impossible for her to move.
*Roar*
"Hero! Why are you doing this!?!", Superior Dragon Grount let out an indignant roar before her body was slammed against the ground creating a large crater.
"Answer me Hero!"
"She is still able to talk bind her harder Mio."
"Yes master!"
Another spider web was thrown out tightly shutting up Grount's mouth stealing away her right to speak.
Superior dragon Grount tried to struggle but it only made her stick deeper in the spider webs.
Just when Grount was wondering why she was being treated in this way, the movement of the elements in the atmosphere caught her attention.
Grount's eyes shot wide open as she stared above at Grant with horror in her eyes.
"[Ice Aeon.]"
At the last moments of her life all she saw was Grant's expressionless face before her body was frozen solid in a prison of ice.
*Crack*
Giant cracks formed on the ice covering Grount before her majestic body broke down into countless tiny pieces of ice.
*Thud*
Landing on the ground, Grant fixed his gaze upon the spherical egg like object emitting vast and powerful aura of earth element.
Using his magic Grant lifted the sphere before tightly grabbing it in his hand.
In one go Grant gulped down the sphere.
Mio who was standing behind him looked at the scene with curiosity wondering what her master was upto.
In the next moment the earth underneath their feet started shaking, deadly sandstorms rose as the spirits of earth started dancing around Grount in pure bliss.
At a speed visible to the naked eye, Mio saw her master's aura rising at a crazy pace, reaching new and unfathomable heights.
After a long time the natural disasters around them started subsiding before disappearing, as the desert welcomed it's new owner.
"Mio let's go."
Having killed Superior Dragon Sandstorm, Grant no longer had any more doubt in his head.
The other Superior Dragons...
It looks like Grant will have to pay them a visit pretty soon.

[Demon King's castle.]
"All of the demons defending the Stella Fort have died, the Empire has taken back it's territory...."
Heavy atmosphere covered the council room as the various demon generals and the demon king Zef himself calmly listened to the reports being delivered by the spokesman.
"Master Lancer and Dragon Slayer Sofia have also retreated from the battlefield after receiving injuries from the Hero's attack...."
Only bad news seem to come out of the spokesman's mouth, making the demons present clench their teeth in anger.
Sitting at the seat of honour, Demon King Zef silently closed his eyes after hearing the reports.
250,000.
That was the amount of valuable soldiers the demons lost in just the past week.
And that to because of bit one man.
The Hero selected by the Goddess Grant Ashdown.
By now his name alone was enough to scare even an adult demon to death.
In but a short period of time the Hero has done so many legendary feats, it almost seems unreal.
Calming himself down, Demon King Zef opened his eyelids and saw everyone in the hall looking straight at him, awaiting his decision.
"If we want to survive then we must get rid of the Hero Grant Ashdown."
The answer which came out of the demon King's mouth wasn't surprising, currently Grant Ashdown has become some sort of a titan competing blocking their way forward and from the beginning there was no escape route for them in the first place.
"This is a war of survival."
Everyone's fists clenched tightly.
"Either we kill the Hero or die fighting."
-------------------------------
"It seems like I was too late....", The strongest of the superior dragons Root said as he carefully observed the signs half destroyed desert around him.
Root picked up a shard of ice from the ground, examining it with sorrow present in her eyes.
"Grount....even after I told you to be careful...."
Root let out a sigh as the shard if ice in her hand crumbled to dust.
From now on every trace of the Superior Dragon Sandstorm had vanished from the world.
It was different from the absorption Lancer did, at worst after killing Lancer all the superior dragons will return back to the world, but this wasn't temporary death but complete destruction from the source.
After several hundreds of years a trace of killing intent appeared in Roots eyes making the very atmosphere around her tremble.
"I must stop the one doing this at all cost!"
It wasn't a matter of opinion, the killer of the superior dragons could not be allowed to roam free any longer.
Or it might just bring the end of the world.
