Before Xiu Ying had left the ship, Mo Yan was heading to her room with Cheng-Ming. Mo Yan had decided to try to convince Xiu Ying a second time. He hopes that this time, she would listen to him and leave with them at dawn.
When they arrived at Xiu Ying's room, they found out that she was not in her room, and Feng Yu was also gone.
Just by looking at Mo Yan's facial expression Jin Hai and Luo Li know that they were going to get another lecture from him. Inside their heads we're, 'Here we go again.'
"You two are her guards. How can you guys let her go outside on her own like this? Don't you guys know it's dangerous for a girl to walk alone in the middle of the night with some unknown guy?"
"Mo Yan, calm down. Princess Xiu Ying might have just went out to get some fresh air."
"If anything were to happen to her while she's out there, I won't let both of you off. Go find her!"
Jin Hai and Luo Li rushed out to look for Xiu Ying, followed by Mo Yan and Cheng-Ming
Feng Yu carried Xiu Ying through the quiet town. He can hear her constant breathing behind him.
'How can a man be so lightweight?' He wondered.
"Mmnn." a sound came from behind him. It was Xiu Ying, and she is starting to regain consciousness and was rubbing her face against Feng Yu's back.
"You're awake?"
"Huh?"
"How are you feeling?"
"Why are you piggy-back me? Earlier... I was... you!?"
"I apologize for that."
"Who are those men?"
"I was my uncle and his men's. My uncle was the one who knocked you unconscious. I apologize on his behalf."
"There's no need to apologize; he means no harm to me."
Feng Yu didn't reply to Xiu Ying, but she can feel that he was holding something back, "Is there anything you want to say?"
He hesitated before answering, "You're different."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean... you're not like other young master's I've met before."
"Oh."
Xiu Ying went into deep thought after knowing that the person who knocked her out was his uncle. She may be having a conversation Feng Yu, but her mind has was thinking of who it could be behind the upbringing of the Huang rebels. "Feng Yu's uncle... who could this person be... he couldn't be..."
Her thoughts were disturbed by a loud call, "Ah Ying?!"
Xiu Ying looked up at the direction of the call. It was Mo Yan and the others rushing over to them.
"Ah Ying, what happened? Did you get hurt?" asked Mo Yan frantically.
"I'm not injured."
"Then why is he carrying you?"
Xiu Ying had forgotten that Feng Yu was still piggybacking her. She then quickly but calmly got off.
"It's getting late. I'm tired. Let's head back to the ship."
"Ah Ying, your father had sent me a message earlier. He wants you to go home. Leave with me in the morning."
Cheng-Ming gives Mo Yan a 'what? Why did you lie to her?' look. Mo Yan just signaled to him to keep quiet.
"I will think about," said Ying as she went ahead first.
Jin Hai waves his hand for Feng Yu to follow Xiu Ying back to the ship.
After everyone had left, Cheng-Ming walked up to Mo Yan and asked, "What would you do if she found out you lied to her?"
"I....." he couldn't answer him.
"Chang-Ming, why is that the person she loves, isn't me? She was so attached to me she was a kid. Everything changed when she met that little boy. Why do I feel that every-time I try to get closer to her, the further she is from me."
"Mo Yan... I don't know how to help you. I'm also a failure when it comes to love."
Mo Yan did not understand what Cheng-Ming meant when he said he was also a failure when it comes to love. Cheng-Ming had always kept quiet about his love interest.
"Cheng-Ming, let's head out tonight."
"Huh?! But..."
"I have made a decision ."
"Decision on what, explain to me."
"You will know when we reach the palace."
Cheng-Ming was confused but didn't ask any further. They both then quietly followed Xiu Ying and the rest from far behind.
When they got to the ship, Mo Yan stopped Xiu Ying to let her know that he and Cheng-Ming had decided to leave tonight. "A Ying...?"
Hearing Mo Yan's voice, Xiu Ying turned around and asked, "Yes? Is there anything?"
"Chen-Ming and I had decided to leave tonight."
"Oh, why is that."
"No specific reason, we were going to leave earlier, but I wanted to make sure you got back here safe."
"....Thank You, brother Mo Fan."
"Please send my regards to uncle Li Wei."
"I will."
Mo Yan and Cheng-Ming left, heading back to the capital.
Feng Yu, as a bystander, felt that Mo Yan is a little off. He notices that Mo Yan is protective of Xiu Ying.
'Don't tell me he has feelings for him.' A thought went through his mind.
"A man and a man?!" Feng Yu mumbled quietly to himself, thinking nobody would hear him.
"What are you mumbling about, hurry up and get on the ship," called Xiu Ying as she hears him mumble something insensible.
"Huh?! Oh, it's nothing," said Feng Yu as he quickly caught up to follow Xiu Ying into the ship.
When they arrived at the doors of their rooms, Xiu Ying ordered Jin Hai to bring Feng Yu a new set of bandages for his wound.
Before heading to her room, Xiu Ying secretly whispers to Jin Hai and Luo Li ordering them to closely watch Feng Yu tonight because she noticed that they were being followed earlier.
