Chapter 7 - ~Chapter 7: Reunion~

The people on the ship came to rescue Xiu Ying and the rebel. On the ship, a servant had helped Xiu Ying carried the rebel to a room.

"Thank You"

"There's no need to thank me. The one that heard your call for help was my young master. If he hadn't heard your voice, I wouldn't be able to save you two."

"Who's your young master? I would like to thank him personally."

"You should change your clothes first. How did your friend got injured."

"We were chased by some bandits."

"You can change your clothes in the room across from this room. I will stay here to help your friend first, then take you to see my Master after. If you need anything, just call me, my name is Ming."

Xiu Ying nodded her head and head to the across from the rebel's room to change. She doesn't know who this ship belongs to, so she had no choice but to lie to them that the rebel was her friend. While changing, Xiu Ying heard a noise come from the closet. She quickly put on her clothes. "Come out, right now."

A little boy, about five years old, came out of the closet. "Big sister, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to look at you changing."

Xiu Ying waves her hand for the boy to come to her. She bent down to take a look at the little boy. He kind of reminds Xiu Ying of Jian Yu. "Keep this a secret between you and me. Call me big brother Ying when we're not alone, okay?"

The little boy nods his head. Xiu Ying smiled and patted his head.

"What's your name?"

"My name is Li Yu."

"Li Yu? That's a beautiful name. Ah Yu..."

Li Yu smiled and hugged Xiu Ying. "Let's head to the room across from here to check on my friend."

If Jin Hai and Luo Li were to see Xiu Ying in this state, they would be stunned to death because it's been so long since she acted like this. Xiu Ying grabbed Li Yu's little hands and headed to the rebel's. Ming had finished changing the rebel's clothing and bandages.

"Young master." Ming bow to Li Yu.

"Young Master?" Xiu Ying looked at Li Yu and bent down. "So, it's you who saved me. Thank you, Ah Yu."

A small grunt came from the rebel. Xiu Ying rushed to look at him. He was sweating, and his face was hot.

"Servant Ming, can you please prepare some medicine for my friend."

"Of course, I can. I will take you to meet my master, then go prepare the medicine for you."

"Thank You."

Ming leads Xiu Ying to meet his master while Li Yu followed along. She was brought to a study room with a man reading a book. Xiu Ying realizes that this man is Feng Li Wei, who used to be her father's guard. He had quit eight years ago due to his parents wanting him to take over their merchant business. Xiu Ying wants to know if he's still loyal to her father or not.

"Master, I have brought the person that young master saved."

"You are dismissed."

"Yes, master," replied Ming as he carried Li Yu and left the room.

"I apologize if my friend and I have bothered you. My friend and I were escaping some bandits, and he got injured along the way. Is there anything I can do to repay you for your kindness."

"There's no need. I am glad to help those that are in need."

"May I please ask for your name. I should at least know the name of my benefactor."

"My name is Li Wei."

"Oh, are you Feng Li Wei, who used to work for Emperor Song?"

"You seem to know a lot about me."

"Well, I had admired you since I was a kid. You were loyal to Emperor Song back when he was a minister. I wonder if you will still be loyal to him after so many years.

"Who are you?"

"Answer me first."

"I will always be loyal to minister Song and his family for as long as I live. He's a father, a teacher, and a brother to me. I will never betray him."

"Good."

"Now, it's time for you to tell me who you are. If not, I guarantee that you won't be able to see the daylight tomorrow."

"My surname is Song. My favorite story is The River of Oblivion. I have an uncle that's nickname Bigfoot."

"Xiu Ying? Is that you?"

"What? You don't you believe me? It's been only eight years, and you can't remember the little girl who you always give piggyback rides. It must be because of your old age."

Li Wei got up from his seat and rushed towards Xiu Ying with tears in his eyes. He can't believe the little girl who would call him "Uncle Bigfoot" had grown into a gorgeous young lady.

Li Wei and Xiu Ying had some catch-up time before she went back to the rebel's room. Xiu Ying had informed Li Wei that the man with her was not her friend but a rebel who she had saved. She wanted Li Wei to pretend not to know her so she can try to get close to the rebel and get information about their leader from him. Li Wei attempted to stop her, but Xiu Ying is a stubborn person.

Ming brought the medicine to the room and left. Xiu Ying was going to ask him to help feed the rebel his medication, but it was very late and didn't ask. Xiu Ying had no choice but to feed the rebel his medicine herself.

After Xiu Ying finished feeding the rebel his medicine, she heard the rebel mumble the same phrase from the campsite. "Please don't leave me. Stay with me."

This time Xiu Ying gave no thoughts to it and prepared to leave. A hand then pulled on Xiu Ying's sleeves hard to the point she fell backward on to the bed. She was about to get off of the bed when a pair of arms hugged her from behind tightly. Xiu Ying can hear the rebel's light breathing from behind.

'It seems that he is still asleep.' Xiu Ying then tries to get out of the rebel's arm's but stopped when there was a nudge on the crevice of her neck. He then mumbled the same phrase while shivering. "Please don't go. Stay with me."

'Why would I stay with you? Ugh, I am seriously running out of patience with you. Release me this instant!' Xiu Ying struggles to get out of the rebel's arm. She officially gave up after a while of fumbling. Feeling the warmth in the rebel's arms, Xiu Ying then fell asleep.
