"I think I'm gonna do it." I said trying to gain confidence.
"Really?! You totally should!" A classmate's voice said excitedly.
"You would be an amazing candidate!" Another classmate's voice said.
"Thanks guys!" I said while smiling brightly at them and walking away.
I'm in high school now and I'm close to graduating in a few months. I've also made some great friends and I studied really hard and made it to the top of my class. Everything has been going well and of course I haven't forgotten about Haru and our promise to send each other letters everyday. I miss him of course, but reading about what he sent me makes me happy for him. He's living a great life too.
"Hana!" A voice shouted from behind me.
I turned around and it was Haruka, one of my childhood friends. She waved at me for my attention and eventually caught up with me.
"I heard you were thinking about running for class president!" She said while holding my arm.
"Yeah I was thinking about it. Why?" I asked in confusion.
"I heard that Asahi was running for it too, so it looks like you got some competition." She explained to me.
"I guess I do." I faintly said.
Asahi Touma is the smartest kid in my class and I should've knew that he was obviously gonna run for class president too.
After school was over I walked home and bid my friends goodbye. I made it to my house and saw that mom's car was gone which means she's probably on a business trip like always as well as dad. I got to the kitchen and made some ramen and went up to my room and that's when I started writing my letter to Haru.
