The day went by smoothly as most items were sold and Lily's group had earned more than enough. Instead of quick paying each other the money through a cash app, the girls decided to split the revenue on the spot. They settled down by the statue where they had first gathered to take group pictures in the morning.
While they were calculating how much each person should get, Alan and his group of friends were at the opposite side of the same statue. Similarly, they were also distributing the profit that they earned from performing fan service.
Alan was very fair when it came to paying each member. Before they produced their own products for sale and decided on the prices for separate fan service fees, Alan had been the one who made sure that everyone understood how much everything was valued. During the whole event, Alan was also the one who wrote down whose item was sold and who provided the most fan service.
Even though Lin Que mentioned that he did not want his share of the money, Alan still believed that it would only be fair to include him in it. Actually, their business this year had doubled compared to last year's profit. The members knew that it was all because of Lin Que's efforts in cooperating with their fans.
After doing some basic math problems, Alan gave each member their share of the revenue from today. Everyone went home happily. After everyone had left, and Alan was alone with Lin Que, he handed the cash over to him, "This is yours."
"I don't need it. You can have it." Lin Que said and tried to push the money back to him.
"No, no. It's only fair. You did so many polaroids in different poses for our female fans. I'm pretty sure that we only earned this much today because you were the person selling our products. Since this was a favor that I asked of you, I can't let you do this for free." Alan argued and stuffed the cash into his hands.
"Oh, okay. Then let's eat dinner tonight. My treat. Should we eat at that Thai restaurant that you've been wanting to go, but said that it was too pricey? It should have space at this time." Lin Que smiled and folded the cash to fit it in his wallet. He knew that his friend was tight on budget, so he purposely proposed this idea.
"...You're definitely spoiling me. Damn, if I were a girl, I would be all over you right now. How could you be this cool?!" Alan hopped around Lin Que and circled around him like a child. While he was celebrating happily like a bunny, he heard a small laugh and realized that it was the Tuxedo Mask cosplayer from earlier.
Afraid that Lin Que would feel worse seeing his first love with her boyfriend, he brushed off that laugh that he had heard and pushed Lin Que forward. "Let's go~ I'm super hungry~~~~"
Once again, Lin Que missed the chance to see that the Tuxedo Mask was actually a girl. Since Lily was finished with getting her share of the money and everyone else had gone home, Ginny took off her mask. She didn't want to show her face without the mask because she was quite popular at the university that she studies at. It was senior year and she really wanted to avoid any familiar faces and rumors from flying on campus.
"What were you laughing at?" Lily looked around to see nobody around.
"Nothing much. Just saw something very interesting." Ginny decided to keep the details to herself as she didn't know how she would demonstrate to Lily about how funny that bunny jump looked.
"Mmm~~ It was such a great day! Thank you so much for coming, despite your busy schedule. You probably didn't get enough rest since your shift ended in the morning." Lily held Ginny's hand and started to swing it back and forth as they walked towards the streets.
"Not too bad. I got two hours of sleep. Is there anywhere you want to go? Or something you want to do? It's rare for me to cosplay for this long, so you can take as many pictures as you want. Oh, I could take photos for your solo shots too. I brought my camera today." Ginny winked and patted the black tote that she brought.
"Ehh? But then those girls asked you earlier and you said that you left in a hurry this morning. Since you left your house a bit late, you forgot to bring your camera with you." Lily looked at her confusedly.
Ginny poked her small forehead and said, "Dear, do you remember how high maintenance those girls were the last time I took pictures for them? It was either the angle wasn't correct in their perspectives or that their poses made their faces look square. Even though the pictures were fine, they found many ways to take up my memory card space. The two battery replacements that I brought weren't enough for them."
Taking a few minutes to process her words, Lily nodded, "I remember. You were quite pissed off that time and ranted to me about it. Hahaha, it's okay, though. I would love whatever pictures that you help me take. Every picture you take of me is absolutely gorgeous." Lily raised her hands in the air and smiled cheerfully.
"That's only because the model is you. Mmm... we could take some pictures in a nearby park. I have some ideas for poses. Unless you're hungry right now, if so, then we can eat first." Ginny suggested the few options that they had. Lily thought about it for a minute or two and decided to eat first because Ginny might not have eaten enough for breakfast.
On their way to the Asian cuisine that they decided to settle for, Lily edited some photos from her album and sent it to Hawk, hoping to receive a praise or two from him. It's been a while since she had sent him a selfie, so she expected him to respond with a compliment.
Unfortunately, through her earphones, she heard the sound of the message being seen, but there was no response. After a few minutes later, she checked her phone again to find nothing sent from his side. Instead, he had left it on seen.
She grew impatient after an hour later when she still didn't receive a proper response. At this point, even if he responded with a greeting message, it would have been fine. Today was his day off, and he should have free time to text her back.
Right when her fingers attempted to text him another message, she saw three dots on her screen from his side, which indicates that he was typing. 'Good. He's finally replying to me.' Ginny watched as Lily's eyes focused entirely on her phone that her chopsticks had stopped moving. She shook her head slightly and placed vegetables onto the girl's plate.
Moments later, the anticipated look on Lily's face was gone. Hearing silence and no movement from Lily's side, Ginny looked up to see her swelled up eyes, pinkish nose and huge frown. Lily started to eat quietly, while Ginny's eyes darkened and glared at the still lit up phone screen.
