Chapter 6 - ⭐6: When the Star Disappears

Kara.

Cras non ad scholam.

Kara repeated the words in her head, confused as to whose voice it was. She was certain it was a voice and not the wind blowing pass her ears. It was clear as day to her that it was someone's voice. No. That wasn't CA. She had thought. At first, she mistook the voice to be the blonde's, however when she looked at him, he was staring at the ground. Besides, the voice was much more deeper than his, about a little bit. It sounded young, cheery, and carried a worried tone. Its like it was warning her.

"Hey, CA..." Kara called to her friend who soon broke out of his rather violent jouska. His green eyes finding way to ocean colored ones as he faced the pale skin female. Her pale lips parted as she asked, "You know latin, right?"

Cleiv stared for a few seconds before smiling and nodding to answer the female's question. The young blonde then walked to her and asked, out of curiousity, as to why she asked if he knew latin. In the many years the two had grew up together, and through the messages and letters the both sent too each other, Cleiv could easily tell what is going on with Kara if he looked closely. She's like a foggy window in a house of mysteries, that only you could know what's inside if you look closely and thoroughly.

Kara pursed her lips and hummed as her eyes, despite looking forward, seemed to be looking further or out of place. She's thinking how to phrase her thoughts again. Cleiv guessed. He knew she was doing so to avoid having to prate on her jummbled and rather complicated thoughts. It was natural in the Calei bloodline afterall, as to what his parents had told him. As illogical as it seems to him ,because Kara grew in House Neverland, he had started to think this was sort of heriditary.

Breaking from her trail of thoughts, Kara spoke, "Dont laugh. I... Well...." she flung her arms around as she released a sigh and reluctantly told him, "I heard a voice. Anddddd I dont know what it told me, well, I mean, what it meant, so I was hoping if you could help me translate it?" Cleiv, left speechless, stared at her with wide eyes. He processed every word she told him. He processed the basic scenario, now confused as she was. Voice?

"Hold on." He raised his hand up as he furrowed his brows. "You're telling me you are hearing voices now? Are you slowly loosing it---"

"I'm not loosing it, CA! I'm telling the truth!" Kara interupted as she pouted and agressively shook him by grabbing th collar of his shirt. Cleiv tried hard not to laugh at her childish act, but failed to do so as he released a chuckle. His freckled cheeks turning red as he laughed his ass at his best friend. He missed her childishness from all the years of their seperation. He knew she wasn't loosing her sanity, but she seemed troubled, confused, uneasy: so he tried lifting up the mood. It was for her and his own good.

Kara was blushing in pure embarassment as she furiously slapped and punched him, trying to make him stop wheezing. Her futile attempts proved no worth as the male laughed and was now clutching his stomach as he rolled on the ground. Kara pouted and crossed her arms as she knelt beside him. It mattered to none as people around them stared at the bizarre scene unfolding. They stared as if Cleiv Ash Neverland seemed like he had lost all his sanity, rolling on the ground.

As the two teens stayed on the grounf, footsteps approached the two. Feet covered by a black Ryno Gear Tactical Combat Boots with CoolMax lining, which matched white Levi's Jeans. The person also wore a black turtle neck and a leather jacket to complete his look. Familiar silver and mirror like eyes that appeared as though they held a sunset in them. Jet black hair, slicked back that the normal hairstyle he wore, and a fair handsome face.

Calisto, whom was absent the whole day from school, was now standing by the two other teens on the ground. Kara stared at him with an unreadable expression, ocean blue eyes stared into mirror-like ones and seemingly she could see her own eyes being reflected into his. Cleiv had stopped his hysterical breakdown and had lied down, flipping his head back and forth on the two that had remained silent and seemed to be holding an untold staring contest, or a unspoken conversation that only the two of them could hear.

After what seemed like an hour, but had only been a few minutes or so, Cleiv stood up, breaking the two's gazes; returning back to reality. "So, uh, Cal. Where've you been all dressed up and... Styled?" Cleiv gestured his hands to the taller male's outfit and unusual hairstyle. The other male raised his hand to his hair and messed it up from its formal slicked back until his hair tangled to between his fingers and falling naturally over his head, freely swaying in the wind. He looked handsome, like a bad boy about to grab everyone's hearts and breaking them. Its not a wonder Kara would be staring at him like a museum display. What's a wonder is why he is very good looking.

The jet black haired male sighed deeply, looking at the younger male and replied, "Well, as usual. Going about somewhere important. On my way to another important somewhere and happened to hear fits of laughter along the way." Calisto's eyes gazed onto Kara momentarily before reverting his attention to the curly haired teen infront him. "Why were you rolling on the ground laughing as if he had lost his sanity, Cleiv? Surely you are perfectly sane." he asked, a grin plastered to his face as his hands placed themselves on his hips.

Cleiv, about to potentially release another hysterical breakdown and lie on the cemented ground, held onto Calisto's shoulder as he bit the inside of his cheek and breathed out a shaky breath, calming himself and restraining from having to look like a mental patient. His curly hair swaying along the cold breeze and his pale green eyes filled with so much life glistening with the twilight sky. "Well, Sea--- Kara here was hearing voices and----"

"CA!! No!!!" Kara whined as she tried to strangle him or atleast looked like it, because of the height difference, but she was in fact trying to cover his mouth to prevent him from speaking.

"---And she was hoping for me to translate what the voices said to her---Ow! Sea--No punching---Ow!" He groaned, recieving numerous punches to the arm, inflicted by no other than the female with a more redder face.

Calisto stood there, witnessing the very childish but genuine bonding the two were having. He witnessed how Cleiv was being slowly pulvurised by a female whom the blonde male had talked about to him a few times. He couldn't help but chuckle at every expression his close friend showed.

After a few minutes of groaning and wincing from undeniable pain, the two other teens stopped. Kara and Cleiv on the ground once more, the female stopping from punching her best friend and the other teen was groaning from the pain he recieved from Kara's punches. He wondered where the female hid all the strength in her rather slim bod and thin arms.

Silence over came the atmosphere as the whooshing of the wind, the rustles of the leaves and few shops and eateries or the chattering of people around were the only noise heard. The princely male crouched down near the male on the ground and poked his cheek before jokingly asking, "Heus, sunt vos etiam vivus?" (TL: "Hey, are you still alive?" Please correct me if I'm wrong, whoever knows Latin.)

Kara froze almost immidiately as soon as those words--No, as soon as his voice processed into her ears. The way he spoke was truly amazingly and shockingly fluent. She may have heard him speak latin in classes, but she only had thought he must've been doing it to impress people, but it seems that wasn't the case. But what made her freeze was how strangely familiar yet unfamiliar he sounded now.

"Hiberent, Calisto." Cleiv chuckled as he swatted the taller male's hand from his face as he stood up from the ground, brushing dust from his clothes and straighting it in the process.

Calisto stood up soon after and stepped towards the Calei teen, he bowed down and stretched his hand out for her grab, a gesture of helping her get up. Kara Felisea grabbed the outstretched hand as she was pulled up by Calisto, in a gentle manner. Much force was exerted, causing her balance to falter a little as she caught herself and steadied, ensuring that she wont fall onto him which would cause her to be more embarassed. She too brushed off any dust collected by her clothing.

Cleiv clapped his hands abruptly, startling the other two and making them look at him with questioning gazes; one brow raising and mouths agape. Cleiv almost fell over while he turned to them but caught himself. "Cal, you speak fluently in latin. Sea, tell him whatever you heard." He beamed with a cheery face.

Calisto chuckled while he shook his head, his jet black hair oscallating on his head in a soft manner. His face was more breathtaking as he smiled, and even more so when his eyes filled with so much mystery looked into blue ones that held an endless train of thoughts. "Well, may I know those words, Kara?" He asked with a charming grin of glee. Kara had almost lost herself in his enchanting orbs, but blinked multiple times to avoid being sucked into such peculiar optics.

"Something like... Uhmmm.... Cras non ad scholam..?" She hesitantly answered, unsure if she pronounced or spoke it correctly.

The enchanting male hummed in response as he crossed his arms over his chest and letting out a soothing chortle, cocking his head to the right, his hair covering his left eye, making him more captivating than he already was. His alluring silver eyes gazing into Kara's own, as if he was staring into her very own soul. "Dont go to school tomorrow." He spoke in an oddly spellbinding rythmn. It had seemed like his words echoed in her head, catching her in another trance. The longer she had stood here and stared into his eyes, the more spell bound she became.

"As much as I would like to teach you about latin, I'm afraid I'll have to put that on hold. I'm rather in a haste. You shouldn't go to school tomorrow, you too Ashe. Listen to the voice, it seems to know more." Calisto said as he fixed his leather jacket and walking past Kara, tapping her shoulder as he went past, a smile on his face.

Soon enough, the other two went on their way back to the mansion they lived in. Kara now had a less enough confusion regarding what the voice said, but now she wondered whose voice it belonged to, why did Calisto say to listen to the voices, and why he was such a mysterious, yet enchanting young fellow. Maybe he hears voices like her just now, or something far more complex. However, throwing those aside, she contemplated why she-- they shouldn't go to school tomorrow.

Out of habit, she looked up into the sky and a gasp excape her lips. Cleiv stopped his strides and looked back to her and asked what was wrong this time. Kara pointed above them and exclaimed, "The star's not there! Its gone!" Cleiv looked up, mouth gaping before his gaze averted to Kara. He pulled her in a rush, as if wanting to go home immidiately, in which he is.

Before Kara could even ask why, he shushed her and continued his hasty movement. Kara looked back to where Calisto should've walked, surely he wasn't that far off, but when she had looked back, he wasn't in that path. Maybe he made a turn? But there weren't any corners to turn to until another mile. Maybe he went in a shop? But the shops had crystal windows, and with her hawk-like eyesight, she knew he wasn't in any of them.

Keep walking, Kara. Dont look back.
