Some time later...
Grace and Clinton got out of the car. Upon seeing the big mansion, Clinton immediately thought, ⦑So she comes from a rich family, huh. That's surprising, considering how strong she is.⦒
Two men came and opened the gate, and Grace led Clinton inside the gate and into the mansion. Grace continued to lead Clinton inside the mansion, until they went inside a large room. Inside the room was a woman and a man.
"Welcome, Clinton, right? I've heard about you already. I'm Orlando, and she's my wife, Adeline," said the man in the room.
"Ah, nice to meet you, sir," said Clinton. "And you too, ma'am."
"You don't need to be so formal," said Orlando.
"Yes, please call us mother and father," said Adeline.
"No, I can't do that, ma'am," said Clinton. ⦑What the heck? Seriously? I thought they were going to do something about this, but they're going to try to push things instead?⦒
"Well, fine. Say, how far have you and my daughter gone in your relationship?" asked Orlando.
"We're one step away from making babies!" exclaimed Grace.
"Yep- no we aren't! We've just met each other!" Clinton never expected Grace to say something so outrageous, so he just agreed without paying much attention, but then he realized what Grace had said.
"I see," said Orlando. "How about I give you two a hand? I have some really potent aphrodi- ow, ow, ow." Realizing what he was about to say, his wife had grabbed his ear and pulled on it to prevent him from speaking any further.
⦑What the heck!? I just told him that we've just met and he already wants us to cross the line? Is he really Grace's father!?⦒
"How could you suggest something so reckless, dear?" asked Adeline, all the while continuing to grab her husband's ear.
⦑Well, at least she's normal. I guess I can only rely on her to help make Grace understand that prophecy isn't a thing.⦒
"I- I'm sorry, so please, ow, let go of my ear. Ow. There's a guest here, ow, so please, save me some face," said Orlando.
"Hey, Clinton's not a guest," said Adeline. "He's our future son-in-law. How could speak as if he's an outsider?"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Ow. I get it, so please let go. Ow."
"Fine," said Adeline, opening her hand and letting go of Orlando's ear. "So now that's over, let me suggest something nice. I've got some extremely potent medicine here. You only need one drop of the medicine, and you can battle for 3 days straight! Do you want some."
⦑I take back what I said! She's even more crazy than Grace's father!⦒
"N- no thanks," said Clinton. "We've just met each other, and we don't really have any feelings for each other."
"Mmmm, just to clarify, you did defeat Grace in a battle, right?" asked Orlando.
"Yeah," said Clinton.
"Well, then there's no problem. You're going to get together according to the prophecy anyways, so why not start now?" said Orlando.
"It's just a prophecy. There's no way it can be true, can it?" asked Clinton.
"Oh, sure, it's just a prophecy, but the prophecy always comes true, and has always been true for hundreds of generations. So, our family has started to believe the prophecy."
"Just asking, but who gives out the prophecy?" asked Clinton. "It's fine if you can't tell me."
"We're not allowed to tell outsiders, but it's not really a problem to tell you, since you're going to be our son-in-law sooner or later," said Orlando.
"Dear, how dare you call our son-in-law an outsider." Adeline was smiling evilly at him. Seeing the smile, Orlando shuddered and was considering laying down and begging for his life, but before he could decide, Adeline had spoken again. "Well, seeing as you had called him son-in-law, I guess I can spare you this one time."
"Th-thank you very much!" said Orlando. "Now, about the prophecy-"
"That's fine, I don't want to hear," interrupted Clinton. ⦑I'm afraid if I do you're going to force me to marry Grace in the next minute.⦒
"Ah, that's too sad. I was going to force you to marry Grace if you heard and know bout it," said Orlando.
⦑I knew you were going to do that!⦒
"Whatever, let's have you marry her right now anyways," said Orlando.
⦑And you still do it anyways!⦒
"I don't think that'll be good," said Clinton. "I mean, we just met, so there aren't any feelings between us, and a marriage isn't going to help. I would like to just start as friends first, then let fate decide whether or not we'll get together. Plus, she's only 10 years old!" ⦑And I'm only 4! Well, 5, actually, since my birthday just passed 2 days ago. At least, that's what the system says, since two days ago, my age status turned to 5.⦒
"Age doesn't matter with love!" exclaimed Grace, but everyone ignored her.
"I see, that certainly makes sense, but-."
"That's fine," interrupted Adeline. "It's just feelings, right? Let's do this. You'll give Grace five years to capture your heart. If she can't do it in 5 years, then we wont bother you anymore with this, alright?"
"I see, that's certainly fine," said Clinton.
"Well that's fine," said Adeline. "Now that's done, let's have a party, shall we? Oh, by the way, we should tell your family about this, too."
"About that, I'm an orphan, you see."
"Ah, I'm sorry."
"No, it's fine," said Clinton. "I don't mind, actually."
"Don't worry, you have a family now!" said Grace hugging Clinton's arm. "My parents are your parents, and my sister is your sister!"
"Thanks," said Clinton.
"Yes, please treat us like family," said Orlando. "Well, for now, let's celebrate. Have some drinks." A few people came in and put down some drinks on the table.
"Thanks," said Clinton. He picked up a bottle of juice and started drinking from it.
"I am surprised, though," said Orlando. "I thought you would immediately agree to marry my daughter. Cause you'd get a free wife, you know. I mean, who doesn't like free stuff?"
"Pffft." Clinton spat out all the juice he just drank. ⦑Should you really be talking about Grace like this!? She's a living, breathing human being, not a thing! On top of that, she's your daughter! Aren't fathers supposed to be really protective of their daughters and not want to let them get married and try to hold on to them as much as possible!? Are you really her father!?⦒
