Mr. Paxton paused and looked at the window near him outside. Everyone looked outside and from afar they saw a little girl and she ran away. "It's a Catherine..." Mr. Paxton muttered. He looked back to Mallory and Clay and he looked at the kids. "All of you out now," he said, "But how is she going to get out of here?" Clay asked. Mr. Paxton scattered his eyes around and he went up to that box then gave it to him. "Study the files my boy and use the weapons in here" Clay made a confused look. "Why what's happening uncle?" with a worried look on both of their faces. Mr. Paxton hugged him. "Protect Mallory she's the key," then his uncle pulls back and pats his back. "What are you teens and kids waiting for? Get out now!" he sputtered. All of them went out, Clay glanced at him with a worried look and saw his uncle waving goodbye. Clay tried not to cry knowing what will happen to him. The door closed. Mr. Paxton went to his room, he slit his hand with a dagger and squeezes his hand letting it bleed out into a wooden bowl. Then he mixed some herbal leaves, a piece of hair of his and Slavi's and a small white gem. He mixed all of them afterward he burns the bowl and started his chant."Slavi Graei (x2) Hear me Hear my cry O for I have summoned you my dearest lost soul Use me as a vessel Find your justice I offer my body let the divine light shine through... Take me, take me thou Cloak of darkness stay away I don't want to become grey (x2) Hear my plea Hear my cry make this wish come true tonight!" He shouts the last word. Outside the house Mallory, Clay, and 2 kids got their feet glued to the ground as they saw white and dark-colored gasses and some monsters attacking the house.
Leah started identifying each creature that's near the house. "That one is a Death Ripper, that one is a Catherine. Only two types of monsters are there" she was pointing at the creatures, then Kennedy pulled her hand down "Would you stop pointing at them, They might see us here" Kennedy sounded scared. Leah shrugged at him. "We need to go Clay" Mallory shakes his shoulder. He let out a huge sigh. The four of them went to Clay's house and decided to stay in the backyard. The kids play on the snow while the teens think. Mallory just stares at Clay who is looking through documents. So she stood up and talked to the kids. Mallory suggested that they should have a proper introduction to themselves. "My name is Kennedy and her name is Leah" he said while rolling a ball of snow. "Did you know that our classmates in school are name-calling Kennedy," Leah skips around. "Hey you don't tell her that" his tone is filled annoyance. "They call him deformed head-" she gets cut off by him "They call me that because I'm the most handsome guy in school and they're jealous" Leah stops skipping around and faces him. "Whatever Kennedy" she shrugged again. Mallory speaks up to lessen the tension between the two. "Leah, Kennedy..." Both of them looked at her. "Will you guys tell me about the monsters?" the kids nodded. Leah starts "The Death Ripper has the lowest rank in Atgacio's monster hierarchy but it is a strong one towards humans..." Kennedy butts in "I rate that monster 4 stars. It kills and it's tall like 3 meters high" he continues to make a medium size snowball. Leah continues "It feeds on the person's fear, anxiety, sadness, and all depressing vibes. Once it sucks all of them, it will impale the person's body with something long and sharp from its back-" She gets interrupted by Kennedy again "It's like the spider's legs" Leah nodded and he continued making a snowman "The long thing has poison, so when the body is impaled with it. The human bones melt and crush it, the human body gets mushy, it is bleeding out then it eats the body." Leah makes a sound effect of the monster eating. Mallory's imagination is running wild while she was telling the story. She cringed due to how gory it is and the story is told by a kid. "The next one is the Octobear the second to the last of the rank of Atgacio's hierarchy. You'll just see it anywhere randomly in the woods but you'll see it as a destroyed teddy bear that is sitting on the ground or just leaning on a tree or it is sitting on the branches of a tree. It feeds on a person's curiosity, once you go near it, the bear will start to shake and its tentacles sprung out and stand from sitting. From a stuffed teddy bear that is like 2 feet tall into 5 meters high. It also feeds on fear, It takes people who have deep hatred, people who hurt their surroundings, those who hate affection, and those who are destined to die on the spot. With its tentacles, it sips the blood and with it the human body can be torn apart. Its big jaw and sharp teeth, it can eat a whole body" Mallory grimace just by thinking of it. "Just imagine you're eating fried chicken drumstick" Kennedy tried to lessen her feelings of disgust but he made it worse. "That's gross Kennedy" Leah replied to him.
She turns back to Mallory, the girl that is trying to absorb all the information and at the state of being confused because she can't believe the words that had fallen out from the kid's mouth. "Can you still handle more info there are 3 more monsters?" she asked Mallory. Mallory just gestured a thumbs up. "Ok Let's continue then" Leah shrugged. Mallory glanced at Clay and she caught him staring at her. Clay noticed her glance, so he quickly shied away and pretended that his head is stuck on the documents. She snickers and realizing that her snicker turns into a wide smile so she covers her mouth. "You like him don't you?" Leah whispered, she bit her lip and say "Can you just tell me the other monsters" she said that so she can getaway. Leah said yes. Clay scans the documents and studies the pictures of monsters and their definitions. Clay took a gander of Mallory and went to the bathroom to wash his face and looked at the mirror. A flashback replayed "Clay take care of Mallory. She is the key" he sighed. "This is the first time that I had feelings for someone, knowing that me and her we'll be apart as soon as she gets out of here and we will never see each other again..." he muttered sadly.
