With that announcement, there was no way that I was going to let them take me in. The Lich should be up here in a moment and was timing the Rowing of the galley. The Musclar man with robust mana and the lithe woman with stretchy mana both moved. I had no fucking idea how to start, but I smiled, "Sir, Ma'am, To what do I owe the pleasure of your acquaintance on this dark evening?" I asked, changing my voice a little just in case, trying to keep my face hidden.
"SHUT UP! YOUR UNDER ARREST!" The man snapped, and the woman did not wait.
Her mana came out of her skin like a black substance I had never seen before and stretched out like gum. She quickly grabbed it with her hand and snapped it at me, forcing me to bend myself out of the way. My body moved in an impossible way to others, and my whips entered my hands. My knife was in the sheath almost at the same time as the man moved. I did not even know their race. As they attacked, the man leaped at me, charging forth.
This was the best moment to kill him, and I felt the woman moving just as I reached out and leaped at the right moment. The man's fist came right down where I had been just a moment before I wrapped my body around his. My back against his stomach and my hands on the flat of his back as I bent my body with my energy and whipped myself up and around onto his back as he busted through the floorboards. My whip came out and wrapped around his neck, having to use the leather whip because of the hand it was in. I flew from whipping my body, pulled the whip taunt, and brought myself quickly down to the ground, just as the woman once again used that mana to whip at me once more.
That goo just missed me as I whipped my head back, and my knees and head were only half an inch from the wood floor of the galley. I pulled back with all my strength, and the hulking man was pulled out of the Galley floor and whipped into the air. My heart palpated as I realized he moved with my whip, leaping into my movements instead of resisting. The woman then pulled him in with her goo just as I was back to my feet.
But I was not going to let them do whatever they wished. This was a battle to the death, and both sides were interested in capturing or killing the other party. My sadist's whip lashed out at the faces, and the man just landed on the ground as the woman dodged, allowing for my whip to go towards the man. He could see it coming, and I noticed his less-than-half-second smirk before I retracted my leather whip, removing the armor he was thinking of relying on.
Knowledge hit him, and his mana ran toward his neck. The spikes of the enchanted whip started to dig in. His face turned red, and he screamed in pain as the enchantments set to work. I followed up with my energy to ensure, just as I expected that the woman sent her mana goo around my whip to pull it back while I moved to send my whip at her.
However, suddenly, I was gut-punched in the stomach by a black goo that sent me flying back into the wall of the captain's cabin, making me cough blood. My mind blanked for a moment as I realized that she did not have to make the goo into a sticky substance.
What the fuck was mana in this world?
I did not have time to answer my thoughts as I poured mana through my body and whip and pulled myself toward the man, screaming in pain. I could not help but feel contempt for him as he screamed in pain, and I barely dodged the black good. But I was already sliding on the floor toward the woman who was there to intercept me. She had already given up helping her partner at this moment, and our bodies collided. She sent a fist toward my face, and my foot came up to intercept it.
I felt her mana smash against my energy, and I retracted my foot, but she was grinning like she had won. Then I realized my mistake just as I was sent flying. She used her body just as I would whip her black goo, sending me toward the mast of the ship. Goo was stuck where we clashed at the bottom of my foot, and my energy could not seem to remove it.
That was very bad, so I sent my leather whip out to grab onto the mast and redirect my body from hitting it. Being demasted would be extremely bad. I gasped, and my saliva tasted of blood as I knew that the ride of this goo was not over, and it seemed her hulking friend was getting over the pain of my whip still in my hand.
He had turned around, and that Mana goo was bringing me back toward them, and my whip was not going to stop that. So I did what any insane person would have done and sent energy through my chain whip and pulled myself toward them even faster but instead toward the man who was expecting me to be somewhere else a half second later as I was in his face and I let go of the leather whip for Sohpias knife as I moved and I was right before the man.
I had only one shot at this, and the man's fist, despite being in the wrong direction at first, corrected itself. I found my vision filled with a fist, and I knew things were about to fucking hurt. Still, I split my mana into my knife and protected my face and neck as my hand shoved that knife into his eye, and his fist smashed my face.
The world went black for the briefest moment, but I found myself moving my mana all around as I felt myself skid across the wood and splinters poking at my skin. My nose was definitely broken, and my face was going to look bad in the morning. My body twirlled as I hit a small bump and I smashed into the railing of the boat almost smashing through as I felt it bend around my body.
Breathing was hard till I coughed a chunk of blood out of my mouth, and I knew that I probably had some internal injuries. I would need to use energy to keep myself alive till I healed after this battle, but things were not over. I could no longer open my eyes, and the world was blurry. I barely opened my eyes a little as the swelling was immediate. The man was down, and the woman was a blurry figure coming toward me at speed.
I could already feel her intent. She reminded me of a cop back in my past life, and she was going to go for the arrest instead of killing me. What a stupid bitch, and I smiled, surprised to feel that all my teeth were still there in the back of my head. When a cop or someone went to pin you, there was a moment that they were most vulnerable, and her mana flung toward me, grabbed one of my hands, and pulled me out of position to wrap her mana around my wrists.
I was unarmed and not as much of a threat as the punch her colleague just gave me. Looked like it must have blinded me. Her goo pulled my one arm out into an arm bar, and she quickly pulled my other arm back. BUt there was something that she over looked as she began to wrap her goo around me and I grabbed her wrist and I allowed the left over energy in my body to move me. I relaxed, my muscles and bones flexed under my mana, and I whipped my body around just as she loosened her grip the slightest my legs went around her back, and I wrapped my legs twice around her arm and pulled taunt as I was now restraining this bitch.
My body was bent to something that no human ever should be able to pull, and my energy locked my body into place. "What the fuck?" The woman shouted in surprise, "NO, NO, NO, NO!" She started to scream, "EBIN EBIN! HELP ME!" She called out, and I was lying atop her as we waited for our partners in crime. I could see nothing but blurry shapes, and I hoped the devil that sent me here that the knife killed the B ranker.
The woman poured her mana into her feet, whipped it at me, and slammed into my stomach twice before a blurry shape walked up to me.
"Well, I did not expect you to kill one and capture the other." I heard the Lich say with genuine surprise in their voice. "You're lucky I brought a capture collar in case you betrayed me." The Lich said, and I felt the woman tense under me.
"No, That is against the law! You can't enslave a guard of the docks!" The woman snarled, "EBIN GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE NOW!" She shouted only for the sound of a click into place, and the woman suddenly stopped moving.
"You can free her now." The Lich said, "Vampire, State your name."
"Holly Goldenblood," The woman snarled with anger in her voice.
"Well, you upheld your part of the deal with me. Do you want to keep this woman as well?" the Lich asked as I relaxed my energy and fell off the woman, gasping for air.
"L- Let me recover a bit and check if the other is truly dead. We will have to wait at least till tomorrow to return me to shore, if not next week after things have calmed."
"Agreed," the Lich replied, and I started to laugh for a brief moment before coughing out more blood. I no longer tried to open my eyes. "I need you to carry me to a bed, I need to concentrate."
With that, I no longer could pay attention to the outside world as I focused internally. My body was in shambles at this moment, and I was internally bleeding as there was a cut in my stomach. I used my energy to hold it shut and waited. Knowing I would need it to heal naturally while I used energy to hold it closed.
I barely registered when I was lying on a mattress instead of the deck as I did my best to focus.
