[17 hours later, Incheon International Airport]
Dragging my suitcase I zombie walked over to my mom and Heather who had already got theirs. Honestly never having flown before I don't recommend your first flight being 17 hours long.
None of us talked as we drug ourselves towards the front trying to find the car that was suppose to pick us up. I know fancy right? A whole car to ourselves.
I'm the only one out of us that can actually speak korean so naturally I did all the talking. As soon as I told him what hotel we were going to he became extremely nice and polite. Which is fair since the hotel we're going to is rich rich. I don't mean surgeon rich I mean president rich and the highest CEO's rich. The two in the back fell asleep as I looked out at the stars. Placing my headphones in my ears there was a feeling of deja vu. The passing land scape never ended and without me realizing it we ended up at the hotel.
Before even looking up I woke up everyone and we got out.
Wow...
The building was at least 100 meters tall and purely glass. Which seemed to sparkling even in the deep night. And all the way at the top half of the building was lit up and the other half was completely dark. I gleamed and looked at Heather pointing up I said "Woah! Those must be the suites! How rich do you think you have to be to get one of those."
She smiled at my childish behavior and said "Way more rich than we'll ever be." I nodded agreeing with her statement. I don't ever plan on being that rich.
We all walked forward in awe towards the brightly lit reception counter. The black marble counter perfectly complimented the gray and white area around it. Every little thing was cleaned to perfection.
Walking up I spoke and said "Reservation for Haley?"
The women smiled sweetly and gave a warm look "Yes of course, the two king beds correct?"
Wait.... No.
"No i'm sorry it's suppose to be 3 beds."
She frowned and looked back onto her computer after a few minutes of typing her eyes went wide.
"Yes ma'am you're correct I am so sorry. Currently....." Her sentence stopped as she was searching. "There are no 3 beds available. Since this was strictly our fault let me just check what other rooms are open and we can give you two rooms free of charge."
I smiled and waited for her response. She continued saying "Actually... the CEO of our company is having his wedding at the end of the week and there are no rooms available besides the suite at the top of the building.."
This huge building? And no rooms that's hard to believe. Getting tired of waiting I asked her "What's the problem with that room then?"
She continued saying "I have to check with the CEO if it would be okay to use that room."
I sighed looking back at my mom and Heather. "You two get the key to your room and I'll fix this here. Don't worry when I go up i'll explain everything."
Right now you might be thinking. Why don't you just share a bed with one of the other two. And to that I would tell you that is the last option I hate sharing a bed with people and I don't wanna make them either.
Smiling back at the receptionist I asked her if they can go up to their room while i sort this out. She smiled and handed them the key. They walked up to the marble elevator and disappeared from my sight.
Looking back at the lady I asked her to call the CEO while I sat down.
After about 10 minutes she called me over and with a smile said "I'm so sorry for all the confusion you may take this key card and head up to the suite. This other card is to the special elevator that heads straight to the top floor. You are unable to use the normal elevator."
A little extra not going to lie. But I took the cards and went through a hallway to the other elevator. I had to show security my key card before going up and into my room.
At this point it was already around 4am. I wanted to cry.
[Different Point of view] {The receptionist}
The receptionist- "Yes ma'am you may sit down let me call the CEO."
She sat down and I took a deep breath being prepared to get yelled at or even fired. Of all the times I talked to the CEO it never ended up well. He may run all of his companies well but he's terrifying.
I dialed the top suite and the call connected after what felt like an eternity "Hello sir. This is xxx..." I explained the situation to him and immediately he said "No."
I sighed hoping he would see my point of view on this.
"Sir. I hope you can understand. You're safety is of the utmost importance but so is our guests stay. Please look at your cameras. There is no way she is capable of hurting you."
This man looks like he exercises in his sleep and he's scared of a girl that's maybe 176cm?
"You're getting on my nerves. Willing to lose your job over this?"
That was the last straw, I needed this job. As soon as I was about to say no and send the girl away. He told me to send her up anyway.
Whew my life has been saved.
