Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

"Woah. This is cool."

After logging into the game for the first time, everything seemed different. It was different from regular mmorpgs I usually play on my phone. With this game, everything seems real. You can touch things, and it feels real. You can smell the fresh air. You can taste all types of food. This game was something else.

"That was interesting. I think I'm going to log out for today." I told myself as I clicked the settings tab.

I searched for that important "log out" button. However, it seemed like it went missing.

"What?" I exclaimed, continuously looking for that specific button.

"Where is the 'log out?'" I heard someone yell from across the fields.

It seemed as if they were having the same issue as I was. Suddenly, right as I was thinking of what to do, a notification popped up in all of our message boxes. The notification read:

"Sorry for the Complications!

Due to reasons, logging out has become a difficulty. We are working on this issue and hope that it will be done by the end of this week. Thank you for all your patience."

I couldn't believe my eyes. "Complications..." I slowly read the word aloud.

"It won't be done by the end of this week? But I have work!" A person yelled out.

"What are we going to do?" Another cried.

One thing I knew for sure was that we couldn't do anything. We may all be stuck here. We don't even know how bad the enemies are in this game.

"Hey!" A person yelled out from behind me.

I turned around and saw a guy, about 6 feet tall with red hair, stand before me. "Ah."

"Hey. Did you see the notification?" The guy asked.

"Eh, yeah." I hesitantly answered. "Who are you?"

"Oh! I forgot to introduce myself." The guy laughed. "The name's Eiji. I saw you alone, so I was wondering if you also got the notification right now."

"I'm pretty sure everyone received it." I sighed.

"Oh, that's true. Do you think they will have the game fixed by the end of this week?"

"I don't know. I can't predict the future." I shrugged. I wanted to know why this guy was talking to me. It felt awkward since I didn't know him at all.

"I guess we will just need to play the game?" Eiji scratched his head.

"I suppose..."

Our conversation suddenly stopped there, and it became silent. I didn't know whether to speak up about something or not.

"Um...So, would you like to join my guild?" Eiji asked suddenly.

"What? You have a guild already?" I yelled out with surprise.

"Yep." He smiled.

"How? Aren't they hard to make?"

"Surprisingly not. In this game, they seem to make it easy to create a guild. It was free. No money involved."

"Wow."

"So, would you like to?"

"Oh, sure. Since we are going to spend a week here, might as well." I agreed.

After Eiji "invited" me to the guild, I accepted his "request."

"The powerhouse? Is that really your guild name?" I scoffed.

"Hey. Don't insult your guild leader's decision

...um..."

"My name is Haruta."

"Oh, that's such a pretty name." Eiji smiled.

That would be a good compliment for a girl, but I'm not a girl. Instead, that compliment gave me chills.

"Um...Thank you."

"No problem. So, as a guild leader, I say the first thing we do is grind."

"Er...Grind?"

"You know, leveling up."

"Oh, yeah. Let's go do that."

"I'm going to try my best and become the best guild leader there is!" Eiji laughed.

Even though this guy just started talking to me out of the blue, he isn't such a bad person.
