"So." I had just listened to what Spike told me about Twilight having trouble with her 2nd ticket. " That's quite the problem."
"I know. Everypony keeps bugging Twilight for her extra ticket. It's driving her crazy."
Spike says as I hand him a emerald to eat. For some reason, my bag has emeralds I can just take out. They're useless to me, but not to Rarity or Spike. I could sell them for profit since I'm broke, but I'll wait until I have a home to sleep and store them in.
"Told you soon Twilight would be not fine. She could ask Princess Celestia for more tickets so that no pony has to fight over it." I say as I take a sip of tea using my wings. I'm getting better at this.
"That's true. We should tell her that."
A knock catches our attention. Spike walks up to open the door. Fluttershy and her critter friends are here.
"Oh. Hello Spike. Hello TipStir."
"Hi Fluttershy. What are you doing here with your critter friends?" I ask.
"We're going to help Twilight tidy up her home. It's the least I can do for her as a friend."
Angel, Fluttershy's bunny, hops off her. He points to the other critters behind Fluttershy then points inside. Every critter seems to understand. They go to whatever area and start cleaning. Spike and I watch for a bit. I walk up to Angel.
"Mind if I help? Got nothing else to do."
Angel nods in agreement. I get a sponge and start cleaning. Fluttershy hums. Then, the door opens.
"Oh hey Twilight."
"Not you too…" Twilight looks tired.
Fluttershy stops cleaning. She turns to look at Twilight. "Oh, well, hello Twilight. I hope you don't mind, but we're all doing a little spring cleaning for you."
"It's summer." Twilight says, annoyed.
"Better late than never, right?" I say, smirking at them.
Fluttershy nods. Then looks to Angel. "It was Angel's idea."
Twilight stares at Fluttershy in suspicion. "You're not doing this for the ticket, are you?"
"Oh no. I'm doing this because you are my very best friend. Right Angel?"
Angel and I look at Fluttershy with a 'no' face. Fluttershy turns back to Twilight, changing her answer.
"Oh. Yes, we are just doing this for the ticket."
Angel takes the bowl of veggies to Twilight. Twilight's stomach grumbles. But she had enough.
"No no no! Well, this was very nice of you and Angel. But I am not accepting any extra favors until I made my final decision. So I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
"Surprise!" Twilight is pulled out her home. The door slams shut after Spike also leaves. I can hear Pinkie singing to Twilight. Twilight sounds unamused. After that, silence.
"So Fluttershy, you think she's going to be okay?"
"I hope so. She looked so angry. Did I perhaps do something wrong?"
"It's not just you who did something wrong. It's everypony who's asking her for that ticket. It's driving her crazy."
"Oh my. If I hand known it would cause Twilight such hardship, I'd never would have asked for that ticket."
"You didn't know. That's okay. But you can try to help her."
"What should I do?"
"Well first of all, get the others here. I needed to tell this to everypony."
"Ok."
_
"Understand now?"
Everypony looks down in shame. I sigh. Then, a light flashes. Seems Twilight decided to finally teleport home.
"Warn me next time you're gonna do that." Spike says while smoke leaves him.
"I didn't even know it was gonna happen! Now quick, lock the doors!"
Spike and Twilight turn off all the lights and lock the doors. As they breath a sigh of relief, I turn on a light.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Twilight screams. "I can't decide. I just can't decide! It's important to all of you and I just can't stand to disappoint any of you! And giving me gifts and doing me favors won't make any difference! Because you're all my friends and I want to make you all happy! And I can't, I just can't!"
"Twilight sugar." AppleJack speaks first. "I didn't mean to put so much pressure on you. And if it helps, I don't want the ticket anymore. You can give it to somepony else. I won't feel bad, I promise."
"Me too." Fluttershy says next. "I feel just awful that I made you feel so awful."
"And me too." Pinkie says next. "It's no fun upsetting your friends."
"Twilight." Rarity says next. "It was unfair of me to try and force you, as I did."
Before RainbowDash could say yes, I give her a glare. She stops before she could say it.
"Yeah, same here. I haven't perfected my signature moves for the Wonderbolts yet. I don't need that ticket either."
I smile before turning to Twilight. "They all have understood how much pressure they were putting on you. I hope you will forgive us for it."
"We're sorry Twilight." Everypony says.
Twilight looks around at everypony. She smiles. "Spike, take down a note. Dear Princess Celestia, I learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings. But when there's not enough blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala."
"What?!" Everypony except me and Spike yell in shock. Twilight continues to speak.
"If my friends can't all go, I don't want to go either."
The others try to persuade Twilight not to do this. She doesn't listen.
"I've made up my mind. Spike, you can send the letter now."
We watch as Spike sends the letter. Fluttershy talks.
"Now you won't be able to go to the Gala either."
"It's okay girls." We hug Twilight. "I couldn't possibly enjoy myself without my best friends there with me. So I would rather not go at all."
Spike burps up a letter. Twilight speaks.
"A letter from the Princess? That was quick." Spike reads it.
"My faithful student Twilight, why didn't you just say so in the first place?" Tickets pop out from the letter. "7 tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala!"
Wait, what?
"Now we can all go!" Twilight says happily. Everypony is excited. Twilight's stomach rumbles.
"Allow us to treat you to dinner." Rarity says.
Everypony leaves. I walk out with a ticket in hoof. This is so weird. Now what am I supposed to do?
"Hey Spike, want my ticket?"
Before he could answer, Spike burps out another letter. I forgot about this. He opens it, and there is a ticket inside.
"Thanks TipStir. I already have a ticket."
"That's okay. Let's go and get some grub."
Spike hops on me. We walk off to join the group.
"Got anymore of those emeralds?"
"Sure do." I open my bag and take an emerald out. Spike happily takes it and eats.
"These are the best tasting emeralds ever!"
"And there's plenty more where that came from."
"Come on guys! You're falling behind!" Pinkiepie shouts.
"On it!"
I dash off to meet up with them.
