Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Ice cream for breakfast!

I woke up in a random room. After a few minutes, I let my brain wake up. I remembered what happened last night. Now the dark colors of Hunter's spare room made sense.

Finally, once my brain was working I got out of the bed. I walked to my bag which was sitting next to the door. We had eaten all the snacks.

I changed into my brothers' hoodie and shirt and the rest of my clothes. When I was done getting changed I walked out of the room. The brothers were sitting on the couch talking about something.

I walked down the stairs, and they slowly turned their attention to me. I ignored them and I stretched and yawned as I reached the bottom step. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a cup and got some water from the sink.

I walked into the living room and I sat down on the floor near the boys. Just before I could even put my lips near the cup it was taken smoothly out of my hands. I looked up confused at Hunter.

Aragon smiled at me and said holding in his laughter, "Hunter connected the fridge instead of water to a vodka thing. It's why we have no ice in the ice maker."

He stood up and left the room. I glared at Hunter while he just smiled back at me. We sat like that for ten minutes as we listened to Aragon going through things.

A few seconds more passed and Aragon walked out of the kitchen holding a glass of strawberry milk. I looked at him confused. He held it out for me to take.

I took it from his hands. With his other hand, he held out a stack of pancakes and a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was on a platter type thing, the fact they had it nearly made me fall over laughing.

We started to talk about random things as I ate once I finally calmed down and stopped laughing. We all just chatted about random topics that really made no sense together. It was the most fun I've had in a long time.

"Your lucky school is out for today and it's the weekend tomorrow," Hunter said as he stared at the empty dishes on his coffee table.

"Yup, but it means when my brother comes to pick me up I have to hear him complain all weekend," I said as I laid on the ground and put my arm over my eyes.

"Why don't you ever really call him by his name," Aragon said as he looked at me curiously.

I glanced at him and asked, "who?"

"Your brother," Hunter corrected for his brother.

I recovered my eyes and I said, "He goes by his middle name outside the family and I don't like calling him by his middle name. Plus I just call people by their relations to me or other people. It's easier than remembering names."

There was a knock on the door and hunter said, "speak of the devil."

Hunter opened the door he was proven right. My brother just smiled at hunter politely. He acted more like he should, unlike last night. It clearly confused hunter who just looked at him like he was dumb.

"Ciel, don't be a weirdo and stare at people for god's sake," I said as I stood up.

"You know I hate being called that," he replied glaring at me.

"Now you know his name, he isn't that scary," I said looking at Hunter.

Aragon smiled at me and asked, "oh so, his name is Sky?"

"No, its Skylar, but my parents call him sky and I call him Ciel," I said smiling at my sibling who was giving me stern look.

"It's a good name why do you want to go by Jonus it's weird," Hunter said looking at my brother confused.

My brother smiled a faint smile and said, "In fifth grade, there was a girl named Skylar who moved to our school, and they had to distinguish us, so because I was the guy they made me go by something else. It's bad because I've been my group of friends, since 5th grade forever."

I gave him a sad smile. He was sad about those guys lately out of the five of his friends there is him and one person left. The other four died a few months ago drinking and driving. One of his friends left, Skyler is actually really broken up about it. she was engaged to my brother at the time, but they had to call it off because they needed time.

It was a sad story. They all were like family in their own way, so our family understands. My parents hide their hopes that my brother and his fiancée end up getting back together soon. It was cute because they had the same name, but spelled weirdly.

A second passed and my brother just patted my head like a dog. He knew what I was thinking about. I'm pretty sure he wanted to hit me because I brought back hard memories for right now.

I ran over to Aragon and I handed him my phone and I said, "give me your phone number."

He smiled at me and complied. After a few minutes, he called his phone to make sure he received my number too, then he gave me back my phone. His brother started to complain about not getting my number, but he ended up trading phone numbers with my brother.

Their excuse was that they wanted to make sure if something like this happened again my brother would know where I was. I could sense an alter motive. They were just staring at me. it was weird, but I ignored it.

My brother pulled me into his side and asked, "you ready to go home kiddo?"

"I guess," I said in a sad tone.

He laughed, and we all said our goodbyes and my brother and I hoped inside his car. We started our short drive back home. The two of us sat in comfortable silence. I was reading, and he was driving and listening to music on low.

We arrived at our home and as soon as I stepped out of my car I could see Alex's girlfriend leaving his house happily. She looked at me and fear went in her eyes, and she tried to hide it by glaring at me. she noticed my brother, and she gave him a creepy look and it was my turn to glare.

She smiled and said, "are you whoring around with Alex's neighbor now? Are you that desperate?"

My brother stood in front of me and walked close up to her. She touched his chest trying to flirt, but my brother just knocked her hand away she met his eyes her face showed fear.

People say my eyes look like a lion, but if that's true my brother holds the eyes of a lion chasing after prey when he is mad. He was intimidating. He wasn't going to hit a girl, but he would end up scaring the shit out of her. Plus, he has a crazy protective girlfriend. They are so cute.

He glared at her and said, "that's my sister. If i see you as of look her way bad luck is coming yours. It won't be something small like twisting your wrist behind your back. Don't fucking think I can't take hints and can't notice something wrong with my sister."

She ran away as fast as she could. He turned around and walked me inside the house. Some times it's great to have a scary overprotective brother. The perks are honestly endless.
