CHAPTER SEVEN
Desi drove through the night, she didn't want to go home just yet. She drove to the sea and alighted from the car.
She stared at the deep night at sat down at the shore. Her dad was in jail. Yes, he was framed again by his brother. She hated her father for being too calm. As she thought about all these she laughed, as tears formed in her eyes. Her brother Nick, was kidnapped on the day of his graduation, she was only 11 then but for nine years now she hasn't seen her brother, she has searched everywhere. Her mother has already believed that Nick was dead. Now all she has left is her mother and her self since she went into show - biz Grandpa Legrand disowned her she only rented a small apartment for her mom and her self.
She was still going to school, but she has gone far into her modeling career because she started at the age of sixteen. Now Limuel, a guy she fell for on her first year in college who was already in final year was snatched away by Daphne. She was just so jealous of her modeling career that she didn't know they were dating behind her back. And now they engaged. She laughed again at herself as she watched the water from the shore soak her, she felt peace.
At the Airport, a man in a black tuxedo walked out of a plane. Behind him was also another man in black too, but shorter than the former.
His appearance, also, wasn't as dashing as that of the one in the front.
They both walked towards a black Royce. The shorter man opened the door for the taller one. When he got in, the shorter man made his way to the driver's seat and drove off.
"Sir, where are we going to? To Heaven
Gate residence or to the old mansion?" he asked.
"To the old mansion" The man in the back seat said.
The driver nodded as he drove off to the old mansion.
Desi finally woke up. She heard her phone ringing. She checked her phone and found out that she had several missed calls. Some from her mom while some from her assistant. She got up.
Her mom was going to give her a good scolding tonight. She decided to call her mom first. She dailed her number and soon the call connected.
"Hello mom, I'm on my way back" Desi said immediately out of defense.
"just come home first" Her mom said and ended the call.
She entered her car and called her assistant.
"Hello Cici"
"Hello Desi, where have you been, where did you drop your phone?" Cici asked.
"I was just busy, any problem? Desi asked
" umm nothing much, I just wanted to remind you that the photo shoot is by 10 am tomorrow" Cici said
"okay" Desi replied and ended the call.She drove home, when she got home, she parked her car at the courtyard.
She saw her mom waiting for her at the porch. She got down immediately and rushed to kneel in front of her mom.
"mommy I'm so sorry, it won't happen again, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" she kept on ranting.
"oh shut up you dimbat, this is the last time, next time, I'll have to ground you for life". Mrs Le grande said.
"OK mom it won't" Desi appealed
"Alright come in and have dinner"
