Synopsis
Lost souls… three drift among the planes of reality, siblings by blood and now in a world they’ve only dreamed about. Follow the story of David, Smith, and Rebecca Fulton as they traverse their new world. I apologize in advance for being such a lackadaisical writer but life often gets in the way, truthfully I’ve written this story before so the general plan is already in place, I’m just brushing it up and making it suitable to publish. I make no promise to attempt consistent updates as my job will get in the way of that. All that aside, enjoy the story Your faithful servant, Crusader

Chapter 1 - Chapter 0 Arrival

Most people, that being the vast majority of those that successfully manage to transverse time and space and discover a new world… They often consider themselves fortunate, yes? For they'll be graced with powers and the resources they need to flourish and grow. If not they'll have some sort of advantage, a system or something of that like.

No, not me or the company that got dragged along with me. My siblings and I had failed our one task. Which was to outlive our parents, instead we passed on before them, the victims of a rather terrible airline incident… we only had each other and the clothes off our backs.

You see, now I need to explain a bit about how summoning magic works to clarify some of your misconceptions. Normally it should be conducted by a group of highly skilled experts, particularly if you are attempting to reach across worlds. Next is to have adequate safety precautions, afterall a spell failing, especially one of this magnitude tends to result in large explosions. Finally and perhaps most importantly, don't skip part of the incantation and triple check that the spell circle is done correctly.

Which part our beloved summoner failed is a debatable affair. Because we, that being the three summonees, were perfectly unharmed by this debacle. I use the term beloved here rather loosely, he is the destination of most of our curses. Now, I suppose I should introduce the main cast, that being us three poor unfortunate summonees.

My name is David Alexander Fulton, I'm six foot three and could be described as good looking or average depending on which way you tilted your head. I possessed a head of black hair and my grandad's blue eyes. I was born on the fourth of August two thousand one, as the eldest brother I experienced my fair share of unjust sibling favoritism. I 'transitioned' to my new world at the age of twenty three.

Next on the list is my younger brother, Smith David Fulton. The bastard was also six foot three, which he should count himself incredibly lucky he even reached my towering height. He had an unruly black mop of hair and had stolen our mother's green eyes. Now I could go on and on about his many faults, but I'll do him the favor of making him seem like a decent fellow for once. His friends often described him to me as cold and often analytical when under pressure, but kind and loyal beyond what any would expect. He journeyed to this world at the age of twenty two.

Finally we arrive at the final summonee. If this had been a fantasy setting and not some grim dark reality this individual would have undoubtedly been the protagonist. Who is this great protagonist I hear you ask? My youngest sibling and precious little sister Rebecca Anne Fulton. She had it all! Looks, smarts, athleticism, social skills. It's like our parents held back until they crafted the masterpiece that is my little sister. Several guys had confessed merely as she flipped her ebony hair over her shoulder. Yet I'd swear her hazel eyes could see any lie. The only thing she'd sacrificed was height, being about five foot tall. Yet that had never stopped her from being a strong young woman. She'd entered into this world at the age of nineteen.

So esteemed reader, I'm certain you know all three of us. After all, we're unfortunately individuals of great importance to the world. So why am I publishing this now and not as I finished it? Well that had to do with the reforms… and the fact that when I first filled my journals that only about two percent of the Monrovian people could read. That's why. Also I like money, and even for all my supposed wealth I am eternally broke.

Sincerely,

David Alexander Fulton, Emperor of Monrovia
