Synopsis
I'll update this story when I can and I'll try to be consistent with updates. But anyways this story is about a Alaskan Malamute name Aurora and Maru a young girl with an abusive father. So follow along with Aurora's and Maru's adventures. p.s. If I don't update it's probably because I'm looking for inspiration, distracted by school, or sick

Chapter 1 - Chapter1: My Dear Maru-chan

My ears perk up to the sound of the door opening and slamming close. I slowly lifted my head to look at the door but stopped to listen to the distinctive sound of crying. Upon listening closer I realize it's

Maru's sobbing.

Unsure of why she's crying I try my best to get up ignoring the numbness in my legs. After about three and a half minutes, I finally managed to stand up. I rushed towards Maru-Chan's room as hastily as I could, occasionally bumping into a wall or two due to my blurred vision.

As I approached her room, the sobbing grew louder. I scratched on the door begging to be let in. With a small click sound and the creaking of the door. I slowly push it open... I hear it bump into something.

???: "Aua!"

Squeezing my way, the cracked door I turn to see Maru standing on a chair directly in front of the door, calling for me.

Maru: "Aua! Aua!!"

Looking at Maru I notice something through my blurred vision.... BLOOD!?

Oh... oh no, I try my best to get Maru off the chair. She slowly slid down once she noticed me ushering her down. After examining her thoroughly I deducted that she had a head injury from being thrown against the wall earlier. I can only hope that it's not too serious of an injury.

I began licking Maru-Chan clean, removing as much blood as possible. Listening to her giggles make me smile, almost forgetting what happened... earlier.

Maru: "Aua ishn't safe"

I frown seeing her disheartened face and hearing Maru saying that breaks my heart. My thought train is interrupted from the sound of the front door opening... and slamming closed.
