Bai Yansen sat in his Bentley and smoked his cigarette after he left Su Xiqin's home, and he was already halfway done the pack within that short amount of time he walked from her door to his car.
He tilted his head against the back of his seat as his gaze landed somewhere on the tall buildings, and the cigarette in his hand moved up and down as he breathed.
Half an hour later, the car drove out of Sulin Dwell and headed towards the Villa area near South Mountain. In the end, he finally parked in front of a Jiangnan-styled manor.
Bai Yansen walked out, locked his car, and headed inside.
"Young Master is back," the maid whose nickname was Aunt Rong walked out of the kitchen and called out.
Yang Qingqiu was dressed casually in loungewear as she sat on the living room sofa, and she was reading some government documents when she heard Aunt Rong's voice. She looked up towards the door and saw her son walk inside in an elegant manner.
"Mom, it's not dinner time yet?" He sat down on the sofa across from Yang Qingqiu.
"Waiting for you," Yang Qingqiu said as she put the document on a stack of books to the side.
Yang Qingqiu had an elegant demeanor with dark hair rolled up into a neat bun behind her head, and every move of her showed sophistication and maturity.
"Where's Dad?" Bai Yansen crossed his legs as he sunk into the sofa.
"One of your father's employees' son is getting married, and he was invited to the banquet." Yang Qingqiu's gaze locked upon Bai Yansen's face when she said this.
However, it seemed like Bai Yansen didn't notice anything at all as he replied lightly, "Oh."
"Sen, you are at the age of creating your own family as well unless you have other plans?" Yang Qingqiu added.
Bai Yansen took out his cigarette pack as he listened to his mother talk. He put a cigarette in his mouth and was about to light it up when Yang Qingqiu continued speaking.
"Sen, you are not young anymore; when do you want to hold this off until? When we go out and see old friends, they all have grandkids in their arms and yet, we don't even know when we'll have a daughter-in-law."
"Mom, I'm looking for someone who matches as well!"
Bai Yansen put down the lighter after he had lit up the cigarette. His body sunk into the sofa even more as he squinted his eyes, looking a bit annoyed.
"Then have you found someone?"
Bai Yansen blew out some smoke rings and replied in a cold tone, "Still looking."
Yang Qingqiu became worried and said, "You know that you're more than 30 years old already, you're not young. Other people your age already have kids that can go buy soy sauce on their own."
Yang Qingqiu was really worried about Bai Yansen's marriage.
"Mom, I got my plans."
"Marriage cannot wait." Yang Qingqiu pinched her brows together.
Bai Yansen nodded as if he understood. "I know, don't worry." However, his reassurance didn't sound promising to Yang Qingqiu as she continued.
"Sen, your father's best friend has a daughter, and you know her as well, Wenya. She came back a few days ago, and your father thinks you two are quite a match. How about you guys meet up?" Yang Qingqiu suddenly paused speaking.
Bai Yansen looked at the expectation in his mother's eye, froze for a second, and said, "Mom, if it doesn't work out after we meet up, wouldn't it make it hard for Dad?"
Yang Qingqiu's expression fell in an instant. "Your father will be fine. That's it, you'll meet on Saturday, and I'll choose a place for you two."
Ban Yansen tilted his head back as he pinched his brows with his hands.

Mo Xigu came to Su Xiqin's house three days after she got discharged from the hospital. She opened the door and saw Mo Xigu dressed in a light grey suit, looking neat as he waited for her outside.
"I'm here to drop off the soup." He raised the insulating container as he said to her.
Su Xiqin stood by the door and didn't move aside; it didn't seem like she was about to let Mo Xigu head inside.
"This will be my last time troubling you, I can cook by myself in the future," Su Xiqin replied as she reached out for the container, but Mo Xigu refused to hand it over as he reached out to push open the half-open door even further.
One of Su Xiqin's hands was on the door frame while the other was on the handle, but she had to let go of the handle because of the push. She furrowed her brows, watching Mo Xigu walk past her into the house.
"You should head to work." She closed the exterior door, leaving the inner door open, as she thought that Mo Xigu was going to leave soon. There was no reason to close both doors.
Mo Xigu headed into the living room and looked around before he stopped in front of the sofa and put down the insulating container on the glass counter.
