Mo Shichen watched as the woman's shoulders were half-drenched, about to speak when he noticed Wen Yi at the door, staring at the object in his hand, walking briskly toward him.
With erratic steps, she reached him and tried to snatch the thing he was holding.
The man lifted his hand slightly, and she grasped at air.
Wen Yi raised her hand to grab it, but she couldn't outmatch Mo Shichen; she wasn't as tall as him, nor were her arms as long. All he had to do was stand and casually lift his arm, leaving her tiptoeing and jumping in vain to reach it.
Of course, she didn't jump. Her face flushed from her run her and she was still catching her breath, she spoke in an upset tone, "Mo Shichen, that's mine, give it back to me."
Mo Shichen looked down, amused by her breathless complexion, "You ran here through such heavy rain just for this?"
"Give it back to me!"

"Who says it's yours? This is my study, and yours is next door."
