Chi Huan returned to the bed and sat down, but she could no longer fall asleep.
She sat like that for perhaps ten minutes.
She picked up the phone that was resting on the bedside table, the screen lit up, she unlocked it, opened the contacts list, found Tang Yuezhe's number, then clicked and dialed it.
The call was answered in just a few seconds.
It was late at night, a time when one would normally be sleeping, but Tang Yuezhe's voice had no hint of drowsiness or muzziness, just a lazy indifference, "Miss Chi."
"Has Mo Shiqian called you?"
"You're calling me this late and not getting scolded, obviously because I've already been woken up once."
Chi Huan paused for a moment, then asked directly, "So... how did you respond to him?"
Tang Yuezhe laughed indolently on the other end, "I don't remember anyone praising me for being generous enough to forgive and forget, do you think so, Miss Chi?"
