Chi Huan closed the door behind her and walked toward him, saying, "I went to Wen Yi's ward to chat with her for a while," seeing the displeasure in the man's expression, she softened her voice, "You're awake now, would you like me to pour you a glass of water?"
Mo Shiqian didn't speak.
She still poured him a glass of warm water and handed it to him by the bed.
The man glanced at her, took the glass, symbolically took a couple of sips, then placed it on the bedside table.
"Why did you go see her?"
Chi Huan sat down, picking up where he left off, "I wasn't really looking for her; I just woke up and went for a walk, and happened to pass by her ward, so I stopped in to see how she was doing and we chatted a bit."
As she spoke, a faint smile was always on her face, and her eyes continually observed his expressions.
Mo Shiqian was silent for a while before looking into her eyes and asking, "What did she talk to you about?"
