Ding Chaohui left after he saw Chen Xiaoyi kiss Luo Ziling on her own initiative; overwhelmed with shame and indignation, he left abruptly.
He didn't say goodbye to Chen Xiaoyi nor did he say anything else; he just turned and left, very decisively.
After an awkward kiss with Chen Xiaoyi, Luo Ziling looked up and didn't see Ding Chaohui, unable to refrain from exclaiming in surprise, "Where is he?"
"Seems like he left," Chen Xiaoyi said with a flushed face, glancing outside the western restaurant, then added softly, "Never mind him, let's continue with our meal."
Chen Xiaoyi herself hadn't expected to kiss Luo Ziling on her own initiative in the restaurant, under the gaze of other patrons, right under Ding Chaohui's watch. Her first kiss had been impulsively given, which seemed incredible to her in hindsight.
