Luo Ziling was very eager to know about the dispute between his grandfather and Gu Jian'an in the past, so when he heard Luo Liansheng speak of it, he was immediately excited.
The midnight snack Ling Ruonan prepared was steaming bowls of noodles, and both Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng had two extra eggs added to theirs.
Both Luo Liansheng and Luo Ziling loved noodles, which Ling Ruonan was well aware of, hence she cooked a large pot of delicious noodles and, although she seldom ate late at night, she also served herself a bowl.
"Have you spoken to Ling'er about her grandmother's situation?" Luo Liansheng asked Ling Ruonan before starting his story, and upon receiving a positive response from her, he continued, "Back then, Gu Jian'an had also taken a fancy to your grandmother and wanted to pursue her, but she didn't pay him any attention and insisted on following me, and because of this, we harbored resentment."
