Just as the colorful snake was about to bite down on Ye Wudao's neck, Ye Wudao's fingers moved as fast as lightning, pinching its head. He took the snake down from the wall and, with a forceful swing against the wall, he turned the snake into a bloody mess.
A mere snake attempting to ambush him was ridiculous. Ye Wudao disdainfully glanced at the mutilated snake body on the ground. However, he suddenly remembered something, more common sense really.
The presence of snakes in this place meant he was getting closer to the exit. Snakes need to eat; otherwise, they could not possibly survive here.
When this occurred to him, Ye Wudao became excited. He shone his flashlight around on the ground and indeed spotted some mouse droppings, which confirmed his suspicion.
Ye Wudao immediately continued to follow the Thousand Paper Cranes. After turning a few corners, he indeed felt a draft of air coming towards him. A breeze indicated that the exit was ahead.
