"Hey brother," a sly look crosses Ryland's face.
"Why are you here?" Takeshi growls at the sight of his brother as he pulls Ren behind him.
"Where is our sister at? She always seems to follow you around. Actually, it's more like you follow her around," Ryland smirks.
"Ah. That thing is why our sister isn't around," he glares at Ren.
"Ryland, leave her alone," Takeshi glares at him.
"Which one? Our sister, or that pathetic human?" Ryland cracks his neck.
"Both of them. Now, answer the question. Why are you here?" Takeshi takes a step towards Ryland.
"Maybe I need to talk with our sister," Ryland sighs.
"You wouldn't be here if that was the case. You know where she is," Takeshi locks eyes with his brother.
"No, where is she, brother?" Ryland holds back a smirk.
"Back in the city where I left her. You know this. When you went by my house you smelled her. If you wanted to talk to her, you would've gone there, but no, you're here. So I'll ask again. Why are you here? What do you want?" Takeshi quietly growls, only loud enough for Ryland to hear.
"She wasn't there," Ryland snarls.
"I left her there," Takeshi snarls back.
"She wasn't there brother," Ryland repeats louder.
"That is exactly where I left her so if she's not there then I have no clue where she is!" Takeshi responds.
"Brother," Maiman's voice calmly came from behind Ryland.
"Ah. There she is," Ryland smirks.
"Maiman, leave," Takeshi lowly growls.
"Let's take this somewhere less public," Maiman stands in her human form as she locks eyes with Ryland when he turns around to face her.
"Don't come with us," Takeshi looks over at Ren.
"Why not?" Ren takes a step closer to him.
"Because, it won't be safe for you," Maiman walks around Ryland and looks at Ren.
"Just go in the castle," Takeshi looks at Ren who nods in response.
"Let's go," Ryland growls before turning and walking into the surrounding forest. Maiman and Takeshi follow shorty behind him. They walk for a few minutes until they stop in a small clearing.
"Sister," Ryland smirks as he turns and faces Maiman.
"Brother. What is it you wanted to talk with me about?" Maiman locks eyes with him.
"Oh, nothing much," a longsword appears in Ryland's hand before he quickly moves to stab Maiman in the stomach. Takeshi yanks her out of the way and pulls her behind him.
"Brother. What a stupid move," Ryland laughs then suddenly stabs the sword into Takeshi's stomach.
"Takeshi!" Maiman screams. Takeshi stumbles forward as Ryland pulls the sword out of him.
"Ryland! How could you?" Maiman shoves Ryland backwards then crouches down next to Takeshi who had fallen face first onto the ground.
"He's the whole reason we're stuck like this. He's the whole reason we are stuck hiding in the shadows. Yes, he is like us, but he is helping them. He's on the human's side," Ryland snarls.
"He is our brother," Maiman snarls back.
"And you, you're nowhere close to better, but, at least you don't betray us and kill our own kind, or, 'monsters', as the humans like to call us," Ryland takes a step towards Maiman.
"Ryland please," Maiman whimpers.
"Don't touch her," a growl erupts from Takeshi as he slowly gets up and looks at Ryland.
"Or what?" Before Ryland can allow a smirk to cross his face, a gunshot fills all of their ears and blood begins to seep from the fresh gunshot wound on his chest.
"Ren," Maiman whimpers at the sight of Ren holding a gun behind Ryland.
"You little..." Ryland quickly turns and throws Ren to the ground, his wound barely affecting him.
"Ren!" Maiman stands up quickly.
"You filthy pig," Takeshi tackles and starts to wrestle with Ryland on the ground.
"Ren, get behind me," Maiman says, her eyes on the two brothers. Ren slowly walks over behind Maiman as Ryland slams Takeshi against a tree, obviously winning.
"Ryland stop it!" Maiman screams as Ryland continues to attack Takeshi, constantly creating cuts and bruises to appear on his skin.
"Why?" Ryland looks over at Maiman with rage in his eyes.
"You're going to kill him!" She whimpers.
"Good," Ryland turns back to Takeshi whose skin was pale and eyes glassy.
"You're better off dead," Ryland takes the sword and prepares to stab Takeshi's chest. He suddenly flies backwards, hits a tree, and then tumbles to the ground. Ryland sits up with a groan before watching Takeshi slowly stand up.
"Leave," Takeshi's voice shook as he stood uneasily. Ryland looks at his brother before standing up and rushing off.
"Takeshi?" Maiman takes a small step towards her brother.
"Don't," the bandages on his arms slowly fall off and his veins illuminate with a black glow, causing Ren to let out a gasp.
"Maiman? What's wrong with him?" Ren whispers as Takeshi's skin becomes scaly like a snake's.
"Takeshi Ryuu," Maiman says loudly. Takeshi slowly turns his head towards the two, his eyes completely black.
"Takeshi please," Ren whimpers.
"Help me," he responds, practically whimpering as his voice is completely different.
