Chereads / The Correct Way Of Idol Managing / Chapter 30 - Invalid Rolls

Chapter 30 - Invalid Rolls

The crowd stepped aside, so I can walk quietly to the platform. From what I can see, having a roll lower than 4-5-6 would be count as an invalid. At the same time, having a roll that has different numbers, like 4-1-3 would be counted as invalid.

In short, this game... is a game of luck. Unless the dice we're going to use was rigged, It's really impossible getting 4-5-6 or anything higher than that.

I'd say that you have 25% of getting a 4-5-6. 15% of getting a triples and 5% of getting a Snake Eyes. It's really low, and even veterans would have a hard time getting 4-5-6 or higher unless they have the devil's luck.

This game would make all of the beginners here that all of this was fair. I see, by doing different games, instead of the lottery alone, they can avoid further suspicions.

Allow me to clarify, in the lottery, there's still the possibility of it being rigged. It's pretty suspicious too that almost all of the beginners were partnered to veterans.

To avoid suspicions from the last round, they have to make a game or anything that will make them think that "Ahh! So It all depends on me, huh?"

So if they lose, It's completely their fault. I finally arrived at the platform and the dice was given to me. So this is the dice, huh? I inspected it through and through and saw that there are no scratch or whatever that can cause the dice to fall out of place.

So the rigged dice was the dice given to veterans, but I don't have any proof of that. For now, I have to observe the dice and the bowl while I'm here.

At the platform, there's a bowl and a double-sided tape, not to mention, a red marker? What's a double-sided tape and a red marker doing here?

Are this double-sided tape and red marker related to their cheating? I made sure that no one was looking at me from the platform and there's a blindspot from the crowd then I put the double-sided tape and the red market to my pocket.

"Are you ready to start?"

I nodded my head once and I approached the table where the bowl lies. It's a bowl made of iron, so It's basically custom made just for this game.

I only have 25%.chance at best. The possibility is that I would get invalid rolls from the 1st and 2nd Roll. Since I'm going to get an invalid roll, I might as well use it as an experiment.

So how are they cheating?

"In the count of three, you're going to drop the dice! 1, 2, 3!"

+++++

At the count of three, I dropped the dice with the exact force needed. It's not stated by the announcer but in normal dice games, If the dice rolled too much and have gone outside of the bowl, It's considered an invalid roll.

I dropped the dice at the bowl and watched as it rolls around inside the bowl. The result is...

"1-2-6!"

In a flash, the result I've got was shown to the monitor behind me. I see they can't really see what I did without the monitor. It's an invalid roll, so I'll get another chance.

"It's an invalid roll! The Cherry Blossoms team will get another roll!"

In this dice game, doubles were not allowed. Only triples, 4-5-6 and Snake Eyes were allowed. In the first place, having those rolls in the first try will require tremendous luck. Unless this dice game was favored to hail the veterans as the winner. In short, this is rigged!

So there's no reason for this game to be fair! I have to try rolling the dice again at the 2nd Round.

"Now, for the 2nd Roll!"

I took the dice from the bowl and readied it again in my hands. At the count of three, I dropped the dice exactly the same power as before and... the dice jumped outside the bowl.

Even the crowd could see that! It jumped! I'm sure of it! It's the same strength I used earlier, so why!? Why the hell did It jump!?

"Oh sucks! I forgot to say that if the dice have gone outside of the bowl, It will be counted as an invalid roll! So don't drop the dice with too much strength or too fast."

As I thought! There's no doubt that I used the same power earlier, so why? It's only a little bit while on the bowl and It already jumped? What's with that?

I looked at the announcer and he gave me... a grin. A grin like that says everything. Like I thought, this whole dice game was rigged!

Since you already cheated, It won't be fair if you're the only one cheating, right? I don't have any evidence that you're really cheating so I can't just announce it to everyone here. Plus, I have to win so... I'm going to cheat as well, you freaking assholes!

The last roll of this dice game will now turn into a cheating battle!
