Gu Xin Ye watched Shen Yi Nian eat two portions of the cherry parfait that Qin Zhan had made for her. When she looked into the refrigerator, there was only one portion left.
"God! That was too good." Shen Yi Nian licked the corner of her lips. She let out a heavy sigh as she remembered that Gu Xin Ye had another portion of the parfait in the refrigerator.
Even though it was tempting to eat another serving of dessert, Shen Yi Nian knew that she should not be too greedy.
"Are you alright?" Shen Yi Nian asked when she finally noticed that her friend had been looking quite anxious. It seemed that Gu Xin Ye would often glance at her bedroom. "What is going on?"
"No. I was waiting for an email from a business partner."
Shen Yi Nian remembered that Gu Xin Ye had mentioned that she was in the office to work on some documents when she rang the doorbell earlier.
