I knew the second Soneillon had left my body and so did Phoenix.
I opened my eyes my body my own again as I looked up at Phoenix. The sight of her was the happiest moment of my life.
"No time to talk come on we need to run!"
She grabbed my hand pulling me along as she followed Kail out a secret door. So that was how they got in.
The ground beneath us rumbled.
"Shit Phoenix you and Dantalis go ahead Ill watch our backs."
She nodded still holding my hand.
I was still disoriented not used to using my body after so long. I was clumsy and tripped multiple times. But every time she kept me on my feet.
Finally after what seemed like days we burst out into fresh air.
"Fly he's coming!"
"I won't make it I can't fly yet!"
I yelled over the searing roar coming from behind us.
Phoenix looked to Kail.
"Take him I'll hold him off."
"Phoenix no!"
"Out of all of us I'm the only that won't be affected by his power now go!"
She turned to Kail ignoring my protest.
"Remember your promise."
Kail nodded as he grabbed my arm throwing it over his shoulder.
"If your not back soon I'm coming after you."
She smiled.
"Fine now go!"
Just as Kail went to take off a demon with four arms horns and skin that looked like larva burst out of the tunnel.
"It Soneillon in his true form!"
Kail yelled.
Phoenix summoned her fire and weapons she charged at the massive demon.
Turning back to us she yelled.
"Go!"
Without another word Kail took off.
"No wait Kail you can't leave her there."
"Shut up for once we didn't go through all that trouble just to hand you right back"
"I would've been fine if she just killed me."
"Clearly you don't know her as well as you think."
It wasn't long before we were landing in the city of angels.
Raziel ran towards us as Kail landed.
"Where is she?!"
"Still there Soneillon got away he's found a way to reconstruct his own body."
Raziel punched him.
"How could you take her there?"
"It was her choice!"
"Argh you are a fool Kailion."
"Take Dantalis to the infirmary then tell Michael what you have done. I'm going after her."
Without waiting for an answer he dived down the way we had come.
As much as I wanted to I couldn't keep my eyes open still to weak from Soneillons possession as I passed out.
