"Why would she take Azrael?"
I mused
"Isn't it obvious it's not Azrael that's important Lucifer wants Raziel that naive fledgling of yours is being played."
Micheal turned to face me.
we were in the white room where this all started the pedestal in the middle it's ancient waters shimmering.
"That daughter of yours is becoming more troublesome with each day that passes. If she succeeds in finding Raziel they will have everything they need."
"Maybe if I could talk to her see if this can be stopped."
"What will that accomplish she is the child of prophecy that fact is now evident. Nothing you say will change her mind."
"Let me at least try Michael the time for killing her has past maybe she can be reasoned with."
Michael seemed to think about my request. Slowly a smile formed on his lips turning to me it vanished behind a mask.
"Very well I will allow it take Camdahar with you."
"Camdahar? Why Camdahar?"
"Because your daughter still thinks you killed her mother perhaps a familiar face will help. Tell the guards to bring Camdahar to me I wish to speak with him first."
I stared at him suspiciously
"Why?"
"Just to ensure he doesn't try to escape."
Satisfied with his answer I pulled a feather from my wing sending it flying. I watched as it headed towards its target. Once she touched it she would know where to meet.
"now go you leave in an hour find out what she wants and demand that Azrael is released and maybe we can stop this war before it even starts."
"As you wish."
I turned leaving him alone heading towards the cells.
At the entrance to the cells an angel with green wings stopped me.
"Michael wants you to bring Camdahar he's waiting in the seers room."
"Of corse right away archangel Gabriel."
I followed him inside. Dantalis lay on his bed his back to me his body still riddled with wounds.
Turning he scowled
"What's going on?"
Cam asked as I opened Cams cell.
"Michael would like to talk to you."
Dantalis struggled to sit upright
"He has nothing to do with this!"
Dantalis yelled
"Gabriel?"
I looked to Sariel sadness was in her eyes. Not looking away from my one true love I answered.
"I'm organising a meeting with Our daughter."
She stepped closer worry in her face.
"Why?!"
Dantalis demanded
"To see what she wants and to ask for Azraels return."
"So it is true she took him."
I nodded gravely to my mate
"Yes it's true a witness saw her take him down herself with angelfire."
"Angelfire? Are you insane only archangels can use angelfire."
I looked to Cam as chains were placed around his wrists.
"Why do you think Michael is so worried I'm surprised he is allowing me to speak to her."
I turned back to Sariel.
"I have to try stop her despite what Michael has done to us all I can not let her start a war."
"I understand Gabriel whatever the reasons she is helping lucifer you must try. she is only new to her angel power lucifers influence has ways of changing the soul."
From the corner of my eye I saw Dantalis limp closer to the bars of his cell.
"When you see her if she says the reason she is starting this war is for me you must tell her that I'm already dead."
"Bro no you can't tell her that she's your mate don't give up on that."
Dantalis ignored him
"Please Gabriel you must."
I sighed, taking in all that Michael had done to him perhaps we deserved this war too many bad things had happened maybe this was our punishment.
"It would not work Dantalis even if I told her you were dead she would only seek revenge and the war would still happen."
"Then tell her she is not my mate."
"Bro no!"
"Tell her I reject her as my mate let her be angry at me and no one else."
"You realise what that means? You will spend your life alone til the day you die."
Dantalis nodded
"I had excepted my fate the day my father cursed me with this demon soon it will not matter anyway once my oath has been stripped."
"Dantalis don't give up hope ple-"
Sariel begged
"My mind is made up."
I nodded
"Very well then"
I turned to the guard
"take him to Michael."
The door closed behind them as they left I turned back to Sariel.
"Don't tell her I'm alive."
"Why? She deserves to know."
"You said it yourself if she knows I am here she will do whatever she can to free me."
I knew she was right and it hurt to know she was stuck in here and had been stuck in here for twenty years. Part of me wanted this war, then Sariel would be freed.
"I know that look Gabriel yes Michael has gone to far with regards to this prophecy but the last thing I want is for our daughter to die before she's even lived and if she continues down the path she's on I fear that's what will happen."
I sighed for twenty years I had been dreading Reece's change for this very reason. She did not deserve any of this I was selfish when I took Sariel as my mate. Not thinking of the pain and suffering our child would endure all we thought about was our love for each other. Reece has every right to hate us to hate Michael.
"Very well I won't tell her."
"Thank you now go you can tell me what she's like when you get back."
She smiled sadly as I left to meet our daughter for the first time. Passing Dantalis he had returned to his bed remaining silent as I exited closing the door behind me.
