The government was making drastic changes. Many from the army had become extremely strong post tutorial and had taken control of the government.
"Power is the only way to ensure stability in this new world." The new president said, as martial law was enforced all over the world. However, not everyone was onboard.
The tutorial was a calamity for human socoety, but it was also an opportunity for many people to rise. In the face of martial law, many people who became extremely powerful and were blessed by entities rose up in protest.
The next few weeks had become extremely contentious with these powerful individuals rising to bargain with the new militarized governments, however they soon formed an alliance with the government and were allowed to run guilds.
In class students were arguing. "How can they just implement martial law on us?"
"Many people have risen up and they have now formed parallel organizations allowed by the government."
"If you are powerful enough, you can bargain for yourself."
Training had begun in school. They began teaching weapons, combat arts, various other techniques to fight and... magic.
Many had discovered in the tutorial the path to use magic. Magic was being trained now to humans enmasse as the threat of the dungeons loomed.
In this situation, several students rose up as powerful elite with high potential, who were becoming powerful and learning all the things being trained with gusto. Gaining new skills.
Then it happened. Right in the middle of the city, a huge cave suddenly opened up and a portal opened up within it. The first Dungeon had appeared right in the middle of the city.
The appearance of the portal shocked everyone, however, the government soon took control. Guilds began rushing in to explore the dungeons and the dungeon hunting economy exploded as companies too began to shift in focus.
"Kyle, I want you to set up a recruitment for promising students from your school for the Warren Industries dungeon raiding team." Kyle's father said.
"Have you formed a guild as well?" Kyle asked with surprise. He knew that his father hadn't performed too well in the dungeon.
"Yes, your elder brother gained a powerful super power in the dungeon and has been graded potential 9. He will lead this guild with the backing of our finance." Kyle's father said. "Your brother will visit the school soon for recruitment."
Kyle's brother? Kyle wondered. He hadn't been able to find out much information about him earlier and his brother hadn't even contacted him through this.
Either way, many guilds were appearing in school to canvass for potential students, but most weren't in a hurry. The government said the students had to wait before graduating to join guilds.
A couple of days later, The Warren Guild came to First High to recruit promising students.
"Have you heard? Warren Guild is coming today. I heard its led by a person who isn't too much older than us. Christian Warren."
"He is the heir to the powerful Warren group and is said to have awakened a super power as well as be very strong."
"Don't we have a warren in our class? How come he didn't say anything about this?"
Kyle quietly sat on his seat and yawned as he heard these stupid murmurings. He couldn't care less what these dumbass students thought.
Soon Christian Warren arrived. "Students, we are looking to form an elite dungeon crawling team. Based on the potential, these are the salaries and benefits we are offering, as well as special training!"
Christian completely ignored Kyle, who himself was yawning.
Many students were bowled over by both the charisma of Christian as well as the extraordinary benefits they received. "The Warren Guild is really serious about forming elites, only those with potential 8 or higher or someone with super powers can join."
John looked at his group. "What do you think? Warren group seems to be of a very high potential and a good opportunity to join."
Lana nodded. But then she looked at Kyle, who looked disinterested by the whole affair. "Isn't Kyle from the same family? It seems he has been completely sidelined by his brother."
Zed nodded for once. "He is a sickly weakling after all. Even his potential was in the low 4s. It isn't surprising really."
After the recruitment process was over, Christian finally looked at Kyle to see a blank look on his face. "Kyle, please come out to meet me." He said calmly as he walked out.
Kyle walked out of the class and Christian began talking to him. "You are a Warren, however, you are just one in name. You have always been a weakling and looking at you now, you still are the same. The Warren Guild is my flagship project and the door to the future. Don't even think about interfering with my plans and trying to plug yourself in. I heard you only have a potential of 4.4. What a disgusting shame you are to our family."
Christian called him out of the class, but his obvious threat wasn't secretive at all. All the students who were now enhanced could hear what Christian had said very clearly. Kyle knew that, but he simply smiled and shrugged.
"I have no interest in your guild or anything else you are creating. I wish you best with your endeavours, brother." Kyle said as he patted Christian's shoulder who looked disgusted.
Kyle walked back to his seat with everyoone's eyes plastered on him.
"What a pitiful person." Anna said.
"I am starting to agree with Lana that this guy is abnormal." John suddenly whispered. Anna and Zed looked at him with surprise.
"What do you mean?" Zed asked.
John looked at Lana who nodded. "He was just humiliated by his brother publicly. Yet he seems to be totally unfazed and uncaring about it at all. Throughout all this upheaval he has appeared the most calm and unfazed and reaction less to the tutorial, the dungeons and the guilds." She analyzed.
"Be is either over confident, or simply doesn't care." Anna said.
Some days later, the government put out a notice that selected students would get to visit the newly opened dungeon's first level. The dungeon was named the serenity dungeon.
Kyle ignored it as well. He didn't seem to have any interest in going to the dungeon.
However, inwards, Kyle was calculating his moves. He had been laying low in the initial days on purpose. He had to ensure that no entity had its eye on him. Even though the entities had been unable to identify who was the one who performed like crazy and withdrew the treasures from the tutorial store, if he made any untoward actions in the beginning he would put a target on his back.
So he had been acting as an ordinary student. Now that the dungeon raiding of serenity dungeon had begun, the dungeon hunting economy had risen and various professions had suddenly arrived thanks to the tutorial, Kyle could finally make a move.
