Lior's POV
—————
"Sorry, I usually have a high tolerance when it comes to heroin that's probably why withdrawal is kicking me in my ass", he woke up around two hours later. He then moved away from my shoulder "Sorry, I didn't mean to."
"Oh, no it's okay, I didn't mind."
He had a smirk on his face "You're too kind, but have you heard anything yet?"
"Yeah, he's going to be just fine, his mother had to be pulled away because she nearly beat the shit out of him", I replied
He chuckled "I wish I had a mother like that, at least she cares."
I raised a brow "What happened to your mother if you don't mind me asking?"
He leaned over "I'll tell you in the car", he grabbed his keys from his back pocket.
"Oh, forgot to ask but is your friend coming?", Caden asked.
"Nah, he's staying in the hospital for a few days", I replied.
"Okay."
We reached his car and I sat in the passenger seat beside him.
He started the car and pressed on the touchscreen to open gps "What's your address?, he asked.
"You can drop me off by the convenience store near Sunny Ave and Jasper , I'll walk from there."
He smiled "You seem cautious of people."
I looked at him and leaned back in my seat "Yeah, I have to be, well I was taught to be since my Father died."
He looked at me in surprise "When?"
I looked at him in confusion" I was like four… why do you ask?"
He combed his dirty blonde hair with his fingers "My mother died when I was six. She was found dead in a lake , but, she never took care of me but she saw me once when I was five and she was so beautiful."
I saw the look of sadness and longing in his eyes. I looked at him "Sorry, my father was murdered he was shot in the streets , I don't know the exact details but my parents wanted me to be careful ever since."
Caden stopped at the stoplight "Are you sure you don't want to come to my place?"
I smiled "Sorry, but I must decline your offer."
Caden smiled "No, no it's perfectly fine, though I would like to hang out with you if you have the time."
The hospital wasn't far from the convenience store we sat in silence since I dozed off a bit, he then parked in the convenience store parking lot. I looked at him "Hey, would you want to come to my soccer game tomorrow night, I don't have my phone with me so meet me then?"
He smiled "Yeah, sure, I haven't paid my phone bill yet so yeah, that seems perfect. I smiled as I hopped out of his car "It's $10 per ticket by the way", I chuckled.
He rolled his eyes "I'm broke but whatever, I'll find a way."
We both smiled for a second before I waved goodbye.
