Chapter 1 - chapter 1: Aaron Went Walking

It was a day like any other I thought.. I woke up far too early hoping my mother would be home, and like usual my mother wasnt.. she's never home, she's always out till morning usually at the bar to avoid her fiance Sheran and me at home. I think she hates us both, why because I just never see her anymore.

I wonder if mother will ever leave Sheran and leave me with her. Sheran is not a bad person, but I'm not sure if I want to be without my mother. I often just try to keep my mind off of things like this.. I'm going to go for a walk to blow off some steam I decided.

My parents home is a one story house, the only stairs lead to the attic. So from my room it doesn't take long to get outside, when I near the door, and about to go to jiggle the door knob I hear a car engine start. This was rather odd since I saw mother leave earlier and she wouldn't be back this early it's still dark out, and sheran is on a work trip. Theres no way. so I rushed out the door faster slamming it open and neared the side of the road.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I was at least expecting to see the car making the noise. I got outside fast, fast enough so I would see the car. There was no car. I dont understand. turning my head there were no cars anywhere I looked. WTF. I peer down the road and i noticed that my neighbors caretakers car wasnt there. it was strange, it was dead silent. it seemed like the sky it was darkening. I'm kind of worried that theres nobody around.

I remember my neighbor shes an old women, but I forget her name, She is bedbound, mother said she was very sick and we cant bother her because she is living her last days in peace. There's always someone parked outside her house, always! She cant take care of herself, but no ones there, where is everyone? I think Ima go to my neighbors house to check in on her.

I decide I'm going to go walking. I need to check out what's going on.
