Chapter 16 - Yin palace

Long Daiyu did not look up from the fan until she noticed they had arrived at a temple which resembles a broken down town. She looked around noticing the many people staring at them with curiosity.

Who wouldnt be curious to see a young woman and child arrive dressed in all black while they hid their faces with veils.

It was an unspoken rule in all realms that you shouldn't wear black when joining an official expedition. In the upper realms all the disciples of Yin Palace wore black as their offical sect robes and disliked people being mistaken as them. Every time they met people who wore black during offical expeditions, they would be beaten until their mothers could'nt recognize them.

Every continent knew of their disciples eccentric personalities and the sects overprotective nature. If a single disciple was hurt, the entire sect would be out for blood. This had caused countless sects to loose prized disciples beacause they had offended one of theirs. But they could not retaliate as they would be on the loosing end.

Many large sects in all the realms did not approve of their ways as they did as they pleased without restraint, but dare not act against them. Yin palace only accepted female disciples and all those who married had exceptional partners with high authorities or powerful cultivation. And every one of those men treated their wives like pampered treasures and dare not let them suffer any minor injustice. Although Yin palace was disliked, they had powerful backers and couldn't be trifled with.

Who told yin palace to produce such exceptional fairies who played their men at the palm of their hands?!

All the major sects could only grit their teeth at the frightning manipulative powers of beautiful women.

Many of the people present couldn't help but wonder if the two girls who apperared where from Yin palace. However, thinking of the possibilites of such a large sect sending their young one down to the lower realms for a minor realm, they could only guess the woman had large guts to dress in black so openly. After guessing the outcome many turned away focusing on their disciples, but some cultivators stoped and eyed Yian as they could not guess her strength. This only meant the woman was stronger than them.

Yian ignored the attention and turned to her adorable daughter and smiled under her veil before using a sound art to speak to yu'er "Yu'er you must remeber not to expose more than two elements so choose wisely. If you face any danger and the person is to strong, you must escape and wait so that I can get revenge for you."

Long Daiyu nodded as her mother spoke to her. The sound art her mother used was high level so Yu'er could only listen.

Yian nagged at Long Daiyu until the air began to turn along with a large amount of Qi forming a portal in front of all the cultivators. The portal had many colors intertwined and Long Daiyu looked up at it with amusment. Her mother used a smiliar portal to reach the woods.

Long Daiyu watched as groups of teenagers jumped into the portal one after another before looking towards her mother. Yian saw her small head turn to look at her and she could imagine her large eyes pleading to let her go under the veil. A single nod from Yian let Long Daiyu jump into the portal.

While Yian could'nt help but think of her adorable daughter making trouble, others felt pity such a young child would probably die. The child looked no older than eight yet was sent to such a dangerous place. If Long Daiyu heard the thoughts of the other cultivators, she would probably punch them. Who was an eight year old! She was obvously ten!

In a matter of seconds a vivid scene came into view. All those who entered the realm were now in the middle of a plain feild surrounded by many plum blossoms. Many looked at their surroundings before making small groups. The nomads made their own small group while the other sects each grouped with fellow apprentices. There where only a couple of individuals who did not join anyone.

Long Daiyu stayed by herself as she sat near a plum blossom tree in a comfortble position. Many of the people looked very young as they had all started cultivation early. The oldest looked fifthteen at most even though the age limit was thirty. It seemed cultivation really helped people maintain their youth and Long Daiyu couldn't be any happier.

However, as Daiyu leaned on the tree in a relaxed manner many couldn't help but turn to look at her. She looked eight years old at most but they couldnt help but pay attention to her aura and deposition. Many of the younger cultivators saw her as an easy target and prey while the smarter people knew that no eight year old would be so calm around so many strong people unless they where confident in their own strength.

The clouds suddenly began to turn dark before lightning flashed gathering all the attention. A domeneering voice sounded throughout the place frightning the people with his words.

"Three hundred is to many. You will stay here until only fifty remain."

Everyone knew that the realm had a limit to how many people could move forward, but the price was to expensive. Many of the people who came had grown up together which would result in tragety no matter the situation if they were weak.

They had to kill each other until only fifty remained so the people who orgininally looked like freinds had now looked at each other in animosity. Only the strong could survive and the weak ones did not deserve to move on to the next stage. Many began to fight while others remained still looking for the easiest prey. The ones to get attacked first would be the youngest as they had the least amount of time in cultivation, natrually being weaker.

Many people looked in the direction of the relaxed little girl with the black veil.
